When I was a kid, my elder brother and I couldn't wait for him to go out for his work so that we could play without an issue, especially on Sundays. Now that I work in corporate, and have comfort of 2 days of week off, i feel numb and kind of ashamed that I used to think like that. I want to do and provide everything to my dad ❣️❣️❣️ and mom.

🇺🇸United States of America🇺🇸 On this day in 1777 As the American Revolution entered its third year, Sybil Ludington climbed onto a horse and rode through a stormy night in south-eastern New York to spread the alert that British troops were on their way. Sybil set out around 9:00 p.m. to ride through the night, covering approximately 40 miles through Putnam County, New York, to alert the soldiers. Conditions were harsh, as accounts describe her riding in a dark, cold, and rainy night, sometimes accompanied only by a stick to manage her horse and protect herself. Still, the militia was gathered, and while they did not stop the destruction of Danbury, they did engage British forces at the Battle of Ridgefield the following day, helping drive them back to their ships.
