"I have reviewed what you guys do and it’s really impressive." Followed by 👉 < sales pitch > 99% of the time asking if we’d considered using AI to... Err, no you haven’t. We’re just next up on your list of prospects. We must see the same opener (or variations thereof) a dozen times per week. It’s boring. At this stage we’d be more inclined to respond to: "Hey! Have no idea what you guys actually do. And haven’t even bothered to look. But here’s what we do..."

Aren't you curious? What’s the end goal when using AI to cheat an interview? The telltale signs are obvious 👉 micro pauses before answering a question, responses that are just too polished, conversation that doesn’t flow with a natural cadence (no ums, ers, ahs - i.e. everything you’d expect from normal human dialogue). OK, let's assume someone, by sheer miracle or screener incompetence, manages to pass this first stage. How will they navigate the technical assignment? This usually involves not only a solution but a deep dive into the methodology behind it. Fine, let’s play. Assume they manage to hoodwink their way through that too. So fast forward to a theoretical but highly improbable first day in the job. They outta there by lunchtime innit?! Either way, hiring managers are already taking proactive, preventative steps. We're curious. Is anyone building an AI Centre of Excellence at all? All the talk right now seems to be shadow IT heavy e.g. "I’m using the latest model and it’s a 10x improvement on the last blah blah..." Fully expect AI governance to become increasingly important, especially when the gloss wears off and the cracks start to appear. There are some obvious parallels from a few years ago when building a CoE was the obligatory starting point for any RPA transformation programme. #AI #RPA #CoE #mongoosegray #mongoosejobs
