Now imagine if the Duster had launched with a 1.5 NA, 1.3 Turbo, 1.5 Diesel, and 1.8 Hybrid upfront, with 10,000 units readily available. With the kind of hype Renault has built, it could’ve taken the competition to the cleaners.
This is exactly where established players have an edge, Seltos, Creta, and Sierra offering three engine options, all around 1500 cc.
Hyryder and Grand Vitara further expand the play with CNG, NA (MPI), Hybrid, and even EV options.
And the irony? Even these established players are struggling to sell turbo engines consistently.

@volklub I don’t know how tata is selling these many cars despite so many bad customer reviews. Everyone says tata cars are unreliable. Either people are over exaggerating reliability issues or people are buying them for safety ignoring reliability.

Nexon - Epitome of Value for money and comfortable suspension in budget. Great in Diesel MT, CNG & EV. Perfect for 60:40 use
Dzire - Workhorse, practical & safe as a first time buyer if performance isn’t what you are looking for. Best in NA MT. Fine for 70:30 use.
Punch - Perfect for 4 for 70:30 use in petrol if safety & high ground clearance in budget is what you are looking for. CNG AMT offering is unique & good for convenience & easy on pocket. Punch EV is a revolution & near perfect EV in budget esp in 40 kWh for 320-360 km real time range.
Creta - Resale, Comfort & Support king! Best in Diesel & Turbo for 60:40 needs. Looks extremely good too. Drive safely in limits.
Brezza - No nonsense car with NA Petrol & proper AT in budget for reliability, support & resale value. Fine for 70:30 use
Maruti Ertiga - Same strengths as Brezza with an extra row. Can’t thank enough MS for giving us such a car in this budget. Middle row is extremely roomy. Fine for 50:50 use but drive safely.
Wagon R - Good car for first time buyers who look for fuel economy, cheap maintenance & resale. Two engines available. Fine for 90:10 use
Swift - Same as Wagon R but with less practicality, better dynamics, looks & snob. Fine for 70:30 use
Scorpio Series - Scorpio N has no alternative in RWD & ladder-frame, diesel engine reliability and overall butch as a package! Fine for 30:70 use (hills)
Baleno - 4 cyl smooth reliable engine with fine features, resale value and support. Ok for 80:20 use

@akash_rai04 @volklub Cabs are not available at every place. This is not a viable solution if a person wants to travel long distances and from one city to another. The convenience of going without waiting for cab is a necessary luxury in this day and age.

Please drive your cars as much as possible, just like we use our phones excessively and change them every 3rd or 4th year without any regret.
Don’t get emotionally attached to your car. See it as a tool that you will use for 10 years and eventually change after getting multiple fat repair bills. You cannot escape this.
If you have self-control (unlike me), don’t spend more than ₹16 lakh on a car in India, especially for 70% or more city use.
Ethanol, DPF/DEF, and Auto Start-Stop are multiple ways to shorten your engine’s life and make it hell once the car is out of warranty, pushing you toward buying a new car. As simple as that. No media will tell you this. No one told Delhi-NCR people in 2015 that their diesel cars would become junk in 2025.
The only answer is to drive your car as much as possible. By the time you cross 1.50 lakh km or more, you will automatically feel that you have extracted maximum value from it.

@volklub @kirawontmiss I also had thoughts similar to yours. But the worry of no one available to take care and support in old age is the main issue of living alone.
English

@kirawontmiss That's true. I stayed all alone for 3 years in 2010-2013, those are still my best years no matter how much I earn, whatever I achieve.
Some people are just born to be single and do their things.

@volklub @MercedesBenzInd Perfect blend of enjoyment and efficiency 👏👏

@MonilShah123 @MercedesBenzInd Hi! Light mostly and push in between just to laugh out loud that what the heck is this machine!

21.7 km/l
Mercedes GLA 220d (Diesel) Automatic DCT, All-Wheel Drive, 400 Nm torque.
Noticed this figure randomly after a long, relaxing drive of 46 km
Numbers catch the eye but what I truly love is the way it pulls, the effortless torque, the comfort on long drives, and the overall vibe of the cabin. I can’t express in words.

@Kefine_elec Still no response about my faulty Kefine Klean IEMs. I’ve been patient. Now I’ll be posting the video of the fault and the worst customer support experience everywhere (Reddit, consumer forums) until someone actually helps. One last chance to resolve this directly.
English

@Kefine_elec I am facing isses with Kefine Klean IEMs and your "support" has been non-existent despite multiple emails.
Is this your standard for "Hi-Fi" quality? Selling products that degrade and then ghosting the customers who bought them? I expected better for my money. Worst experience.

@volklub Is Kia Seltos IMT reliable for 70% city and 30% higway usage. City has very less and smooth flowing traffic?
English

No Sir, new gen esp under 22 is absolutely shameless & thankless. They want fat salary package upfront without having any common sense of their self worth initially and second, they jump in no time once they learn a thing or two.
When I joined my first job in 2009 at Rs 7000 salary, I was thankful to God that atleast I will learn something. This attitude isn’t there today.
With Experienced people atleast you can judge some pattern.
English

@TaklaPiro @volklub How much is your total service cost after 35k kilometers?
Did you encounter any problems in your car during this period?
English

@MonilShah123 @volklub yes, you can go with them.. I have a kushaq and 35k kms on it in 2 years.. if you enjoy driving absolutely go for them
English

Thank your stars daily when you reach home safely at the end of the way.
Your life’s value is zero, be selfish, be alert, be proactive and try to protect yourself in all possible ways. Feel like you are in a war-zone when you are on road.
You are up against bigger vehicles, wrong side vehicles, potholes, manholes, stray animals, falling bridges / boards / wires / kite string and what not!
Please be safe Brothers!

@volklub Hi sir. Which cars under 20 lakhs are comfortable for seating two 6 footers one behind another? Rear seat width is not an issue since we would mostly be travelling with 4 members.
