Last night, I was sleeping on a small sofa in my mother’s room at the hospital, and like any son, I was extremely worried about her health. The whole night, I was comforted by only one thing. I was comforted by a nurse from Keralam who came in every hour to check on my mother. Every single hour, she would come and check on her. She would smile, and she would hold her hand. I found myself thinking about how many sons, daughters, brothers, and sisters have been comforted in their most difficult moments by nurses from Keralam. Early in the morning, I asked her, “Do you sleep at night, or do you work the whole night?” And she said, “I work all night.” So, while the whole world sleeps, women from Keralam, not only in Keralam but also in Delhi, across the country, and around the world, are comforting people, holding their hands, and making them feel at ease. For me, this is the spirit of the state of Keralam. : LoP Shri @RahulGandhi

The chief justice of India, Surya Kant, had been one of the judges hearing the petition filed by Abeda Tadvi and Radhika Vemula for the implementation of the implementation of the Rohith Act. However, after Mrityunjay Tiwari, a student from Banaras Hindu University, and others filed a petition challenging the regulations, another bench headed by Kant issued a stay order, on 29 January, stating that they should be re-examined by an expert committee. The alacrity with which institutions respond to Savarna angst is all too familiar. The regulations had been enacted after an outpouring of evidence of caste-biased recruitment in higher education institutions that bust the myth of merit—an argument frequently made against reservations. This is a classic attempt to distort history and target B. R. Ambedkar without understanding context. Using formal phrases like your obedient servant was standard colonial era letter writing practice, not a sign of loyalty. If this is your logic, then you should also question Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, and even Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, who used similar respectful language in their communications with British authorities. So why the selective outrage only against Ambedkar? Ambedkar didn’t go to jail because his fight was intellectual, constitutional, and social he was fighting the caste system that even so called nationalists refused to dismantle. He was negotiating rights for the most oppressed when others were focused only on political power. By that logic, half of India’s leaders would be labelled the same. This obsession with attacking Ambedkar only exposes one thing fear of his ideas and discomfort with equality.

A brahman boy married a girl from SC community and the entire village made up of sc community imposed a social boycott . These are the same people who want caste to be irrelevant.
