The Punisher Doesn't Feel Like The Punisher Anymore. Frank Castle has a major role in 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day', but I feel Marvel changed what made the character so iconic. • Frank has a much bigger role than expected. • He is more lighthearted and cracks jokes throughout the movie. • He works closely with Spider-Man. • Some scenes don't feel like something the classic Punisher would do. • The change is especially noticeable after The Punisher: One Last Kill, where he was still portrayed as ruthless and violent. Marvel seems to have toned him down to fit Spider-Man's lighter, PG-13 tone. While it may feel like a natural evolution of the character, this version of Frank Castle is very different from the one fans loved in Daredevil and The Punisher. Personally, I think the best way to do justice to the Punisher is to keep him out of PG-13 movies.

Three interesting reasons why fans aren't loving Spider-man: Brand New Day:- 1. It Feels Smaller:- Going from a massive movie with three Spider-Men and huge multiverse portals back to small-time street fights feels like a step down for casual fans who wanted big action and nostalgia. 2. Too Many Extra Characters: • Even though it was supposed to focus just on Peter, the movie tries to fit in the Punisher, Hulk, and new characters to tease future Marvel movies. It gets a bit crowded. 3. Throwing Away His Friends: • Fans spent three movies falling in love with Ned and MJ. • Seeing Peter totally isolated while his best friend and girlfriend move on feels frustrating rather than emotional. 4. The older movies were funny and lighthearted. This one is way more lonely and quiet, which turns off people who just wanted a fun superhero movie.

If Ned really remembered the handshake, then the spell isn’t working the way No Way Home established it. Everyone was supposed to forget Peter Parker completely… not have the memories buried somewhere waiting to pop back up. If that’s what happened, Marvel needs to explain why. Otherwise, it feels like a pretty big inconsistency.
