🔥 The Big Question: If I’ve got the dry powder, should I buy & stake a @NeoTokyoCode S1 for $BYTES yield, or just buy $BYTES & hold? 🤝 Answer is pretty much “it depends” but buckle up, this is a deep dive (but by no means comprehensive) 👨🏻‍💻 Let’s break it down by starting with known variables: 🤑 Current yield is 1.4 $BYTES/day or 42 $BYTES/mo on a staked S1 with the following parameters: 🔹 Max $BYTES staked (2k) 🔹 Staked for 3 months lock 🔹 Your S1 is Reward Rate 2 💰 Current cost for above scenario: 🔹 Floor RR2 S1: 3.59Ξ ($9.2k) 🔹 $BYTES Price: $3.50x2k= $7k 🔹 Total: $16,200 🔑 Key Concept: Once your 3mo staking lock is up, as long as you don’t un-stake, your $BYTES yield keeps flowing, though it gradually decreases over time due to exponential decay (more on that later) 🔑 Also, if you’re new to NT staking, the amount of $BYTES staked along with your S1 arguably has the greatest impact on yield; think of it like a hyper yield $BYTES savings account with the Bank of Neo Tokyo (the B.O.N.T.) 🔑 However, there are substantial staking multipliers in higher Reward Rate S1’s you’d be wise to consider, but we don’t have room for that here 📈 For context, the current APY on 2000 $BYTES staked along with an S1 as described above is ~20.7%—pretty impressive in its own right 💥 Alright, now that we’ve got the basics out of the way, let’s dive into how we’re gonna measure all this 🙅🏻‍♂️ Disclaimer: This is not financial advice and we will get into some pure speculation to imagine different scenarios—you can choose for yourself what you believe might be plausible 🔑 Also, major hypothetical assumption: bull run sees a major peak in 6mo, November 2025, so we’re working with a 6mo timeline, but of course adjust timelines according to your own theories 🖤 Ok if you’re still with me, here we go 🧮 In order to recoup the $16,200 in 6mo after continuous yield, also accounting for exponential yield decay based on tokenomics (thanks, Grok)… 👀 We’d need to see $BYTES price reach just $7.34 to recoup the cost of the initial purchase 💥 Boom: calculated yield over 6mo is 206.5 $BYTES and selling all 2,206.5 $BYTES at $7.34 gets you ~$16,200 🤝 And lookie here: you still have the S1, which is now paid for 😼 But wait—we all know $BYTES should go much higher than $7.34 🔮 My predictions based on historical $BYTES price surges and projected bull run market cap growth (with x returns from here): 🔹 Bear Case: $22 (6.3x) 🔹 Base Case: $41 (11.7x) 🔹 Bull Case: $94 (26.9x) 🔹 Maxi Bull Case: $125 (35.7x) 🔮 Now for S1 floor speculation in a bullish case… 🗄️ Known Data: on Dec. 20, 2023, our last big surge in non-bull run times, the S1 floor reached 17.4Ξ which was then worth ~$40k 📜 Often forgotten fact: S1 floor actually flipped BAYC briefly in Dec. 2021, when the floor peaked at $225k (54Ξ at the time) 🤷🏻‍♂️ So I don’t think it’s that unreasonable to speculate a $75k S1 floor in a true bull run 🤔 Modest prediction tbh—assuming a chill $4k ETH far below its previous ATH, that would be a mere 18.75Ξ S1 floor, given historical peaks far exceeded this during surges like 2021’s $225k S1 floor 🧧 This means your $16,200 was recouped while you still hold a $75k+ asset including all of its utility and access to @NeoTokyoCode benefits—not to mention the actual potential maturity of your base $BYTES investment 🤔 So the question remains, would you be better off just buying $16,200 worth of $BYTES now? 🧮 Ok, let’s take a look: At current $BYTES price, this would get you 4629 $BYTES 🔮 Assuming my “bear case” $22 $BYTES prediction, this would result in a $101.8k value, or $85.6k in net profit 🧮 However, at $22 $BYTES with the aforementioned staked S1, you would have $48,543 in $BYTES value and a speculative ~$75k valued S1 for a net profit of $107.3k
