@sue_tilford Oh I am past that stage of requiring care. Can do most things in the house, just can't get hospital appointments.

OK peeps been missing for a while. Had a small stroke in August. Then had a major vascular operation in September when a DVT clot was so big it split a vein in my leg. The pain was unbelievable. Still housebound and now registered disabled until I get the fluid on my knee sorted

@sue_tilford Saw a stroke specialist in Lincoln in September, still waiting for an appointment. Everything is taking so long. Waiting 5 months to see a specialist is a joke. Also Council haven't helped at all, good old RAF Benevolent Fund helping me at the moment.

Also got Carpal tunnel syndrome in my left hand. Talk about things coming in three's. So I'm stuck in the house until stuff gets sorted. Thanks to the RAF Benevolent Fund who are the only people helping me.

@BenhamadaRuth @paulcoombes844 @NottsBirders @stevewilko11 Mind-blowing birding, Even had Black Redstarts nesting on our Flat balcony. Icterine and Marsh Warblers in hedgerows outside town along with R.B Shrike's. That's to name a few, don't get me started about winter Hawfinch flocks.

@BenhamadaRuth @paulcoombes844 @NottsBirders @stevewilko11 The local pairs I watched in Germany, used to chase each other through the woods in a circular type route, normally the female chasing the male almost catching his tail feathers somehow he always evaded the tag. But they may have been used to humans as the woods were public.

Goshawk calling #ElkesleyPatch This bird been heard over the last 2-3 years … no sight / sound of another. No signs of any displaying. Displaced juvenile? Non breeder due to age / lack of others in vicinity? 🤷🏼‍♂️ @NottsBirders @stevewilko11 Any Gos experts out there 🤷🏼‍♂️

@paulcoombes844 @NottsBirders @stevewilko11 When I lived in Germany, Goshawks were common in the local woods. Find the local Woodpigeon roosts and watch closely as both birds in the pair will hunt over the roosts in late evening as the pigeons settle. Had some spectacular views as the pair would work as a team.

@saqibcomo @Alphafox78 Exactly what my dad did to me when I was a nipper. Kids have inbuilt survival reactions to dog paddling.

@gmwaterfall Spent eight and a half years at Wittering and Gutersloh painting the Puddle Jumpers. Still my favourite jet, even though I repaired the Lancaster a few times at Waddo.

@BumblebeeTrust We have loads of dead Bees on footpaths. Not surprised as we have had 4 weeks of rain, cold nights, Literally no sunshine in Lincoln. This Queen is almost torpid and it's 3 pm.

August is the last month to see all of the Big Eight bumblebee species 🎱 Of the UK’s 24 bumblebee species, these eight are the most common species seen across lowland Britain. Did you know...? 🧵1/6

@Lincsbirding When I was posted to RAF Waddington 97-2001 they nested on the old Bomb Dump, along with a pair of Barn Owls as most buildings were used just for storage.

Breeding wheatears in Lincolnshire are sometimes suspected and the circumstantial evidence here is suggestive but migrants probably more likely. Thought provoking record. Anyone seen/suspected this?
Liam Andrews@pseudoliam

An interesting one from South Lincs today. 3 juv wheatear being fed by ad. M+F on farmland. Juvs are clearly full winged and would be able to migrate but are there any records of family groups migrating together and young still being fed by adults?

@daimler250 @ChrisGPackham @JustStop_Oil Need to get your stats right, Airplanes emit around 100 times more CO2 per hour than a shared bus or train ride, and the emissions of global aviation are around 1 billion tons of CO2 per year — more than the emissions of most countries, including German

@anwarlemu_ Remember what Andrew Tate said about buying a Bugatti. He did it purely to go to their Bugatti group/Lunch meetings. Full of Billionaires, where he could infiltrate for advice and info. Proper boys club.

@ChrisGPackham Avocados, How many Planes land each day to supply the Vegetarians. The vegetable farmers spray their crops with all sorts of Chemicals. Shooting and removing anything that requires to eat greens. Wildlife in this country would be destroyed. Go Vegans.
