@CarbonHelium Same and i’ve not seen my cinema that full for a long time. I actually thought i’d walked into the wrong movie and had to ask the guy next to me if we were in the Obsession screening. Was great to see and actually way more fun than being sat by myself.

I went to a screening of Obsession last night (on a Tuesday) and it was COMPLETELY sold out with 20 year olds due to positive word of mouth. People will come to the theatre if you give them a reason to!

can we just stop pretending that other people are pretending to like things? I think Longlegs is a thudding mediocrity but I have no reason to believe that the people who like it think that. because if they did then they probably wouldn't like it? idk tho!

@UnderScorePNG 100% came away with the same feeling. Very unsettling and i think that emotion gets to me more than any jump scare. Don’t get me wrong i do love a good scare but this movie was just perfection for me.

Just got back from Obsession. This is the most uncomfortable and disturbed I think a Movie has ever made me feel. Genuinely more shocking and twisted than any jumpscare filled movie could be. It’s a MUST WATCH Horror Movie. I just will NOT be seeing it again for a while O_O

@Jfcdoomblade I see people saying it sucks and it’s just creepy and uncomfortable to watch….like duh isn’t that the whole point of Horror. Horror isn’t just about one emotion or being made to jump out of your seat.

@nixwuwa @BlackMajikMan90 Thats the beauty of the genre…it’s so subjective. We all have our own things that give us the heebyjeebies..i think Obsession is the first movie since Sinister though to stick with me…must see on the big screen.

@Duhlorean98 Absolutely agree. I found myself smiling and chuckling at many parts of the movie and i think it added so many extra layers to the overall experience. People do try and make the horror genre too objective, when it’s very nature is to be subjective.

Look, there’s no shame in admitting that Obsession is a dark-comedy. There’s also no shame in admitting that it’s a horror movie. Stop boxing movies into one specific thing. A film can be both horror and a dark-comedy.

Obsession is the best horror movie and it was done with a $750k budget. No huge names. Just pure talent, incredible writing and phenomenal direction.

@mp4ultra I feel like there was intentional variation to each similar scene as the curse deepens and becomes more terrifying. Bear slowly starts to realise exactly what he’s done to Nikki. Honestly the best horror movie i’ve seen in a very long time and probably one of the easiest 5/5.

i have some mixed feelings on Obsession: there were a lot of great, haunting images and moments that left me unsettled. however, it definitely felt.. repetitive. which is odd for such an original horror film. slashers usually fall into this habit & i didn't expect it here

They keep facing down adversity, injury, challenges, obdurate opponents. They are not always the greatest to watch, unless Bukayo Saka is weaving his way into the area, twisting left-backs inside out, but they are supremely resilient. Players stood up to counted under pressure. David Raya in goal. Gabriel at centre-back. Declan Rice, the best player in the league this season, shielding the defence and driving Arsenal forward. Viktor Gyokeres, maligned initially, now celebrated for his 14 goals in this league campaign. Arsenal’s spine has been strong. Arteta rotated well. Kai Havertz started and scored against Burnley. Arteta subbed well. Havertz removed quickly after risking a red with a dangerous challenge. So close now. Arsenal will deserve this title for holding their nerve when so many questioned them. #AFC
