Community update - Part 3: Direction & Way Forward. The structure of the development team is changing … for the better! A few months back Midnight Phoenix resigned from his role on the development team. Countless hours developing the wallet, balancing a change in day job and commitments of a young family were not sustainable. He can no longer act in any official capacity on the project but remain an active member of the community. Believe me when I say that no one wants to see this wallet launch more than me. In recent weeks Jeff (BD) also tendered his resignation citing a change in personal circumstance for his decision. Jeff was previously accountable for project finance and governance. Jeff continues to believe in the Montage vision and remains a friend of the community. In-line with the changes mentioned above, @Angry_Mechanic is leading a CTO of the project to reset the direction towards a pure play DeFi strategy. New roles on the development team will be appointed to guide the way forward. The Solana contract is the first positive step in the renewed direction for the project led by Angry. You may wonder what all this means for the Ethereum contract? My understanding is that the project remains committed to having an Ethereum token that is reflective of the MTGX decentralised strategy. The plan to reposition this asset is front and center of the CTO agenda. There is a lot to be bullish about looking forward. - we have a world class wallet asset ready to launch subject to cashflow and regulatory clarity. - many people are asking when the wallet will launch, which is a fair and reasonable question tbh. Right now there is no committed date. It won’t be this calendar year, plausible Q1 CY25, more likely Q2 CY25 but will depend on funding and regulatory changes. - in the US the new administration is looking more favourable regarding crypto policy, the entire industry is crying out for regulatory clarity. Community update - Part 2: DeFi strategy & community building It takes a community to build a project! Montage invested well over $100k in centralised exchange listings to accelerate community building as part of early launch planning. These investments did not return value inline with expectation set and in fact liquidity was constantly depleting and needing to be topped up by the project: $5k here, $10k there. As such value was consistently eroded not created from these assets. Hence the decision was taken to delist from these platforms and pursue a DeFi strategy. As it turns out we are not alone in this experience, other projects have reached out expressing a similar experience. Upon delisting from the exchanges the Montage Ethereum contract experienced material sell pressure. Where it sits today is a consequence of this failed CEX strategy. The move to the SOLANA contract reflects the shift in strategy toward a DeFi plan and direction for the wallet development. To be clear we are not suggesting the exchanges did anything wrong or breached any agreements - all we are saying is that the investment did not work for our project. That is all we have to say on that matter.

Community update - Part 1: Wallet & Cashflow The Montage wallet is planned across three initial releases. The first release has been built by Antier Solutions, and tested by members of the community: - On-ramp / Off-ramp - Buy, Sell, Swap, Send - Dapp browser - multi lingual - wallet connect - referal module The subsequent releases plan to include: - crypto card - cross chain bridge - nft module - index trading - plus more… The next step is to audit release one via Certik. Did you know it costs about $8k per month to operate the wallet? ~ $100k per year? - AWS servers - block chain nodes - ramp integration - the list goes on… Montage has multiple projects wanting to list on the wallet when it goes live. The project however needs $100k of free cash to underwrite year 1 of operation before we accept any paid listings. One of the founding devs had previously committed $100k to the plan however for personal reasons had to revoke the funding. The team are working on alternate funding pathways to engage next steps…
