🔸 ALIBABA’S QWEN3.7-MAX OUTPERFORMS TOP AI MODELS ON CODE ARENA Alibaba has scored a major AI milestone with Qwen3.7-Max ranking above leading OpenAI, Google and Meta models on Code Arena’s web development leaderboard. The benchmark measures front-end coding performance, including agentic workflows that require multi-step reasoning and tool use. Alibaba is the only non-US company in the top five, with the remaining positions held by Anthropic’s Claude models. Qwen3.7-Max is Alibaba’s first fully closed-source flagship model and is available strictly via API. It offers a 1-million-token context window, a 64K output limit and can reportedly run autonomously for up to 35 hours. Its support for the Anthropic API protocol allows developers to plug it into tools such as Claude Code. However, the API-only strategy increases reliance on Alibaba Cloud and removes access for the open-source community. app.moodix.market/article/1771

🔸 MICRON TOPS $1 TRILLION FOR THE FIRST TIME ON AI DEMAND AND UBS UPGRADE Micron jumped 19.3% on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, and surpassed a $1 trillion market cap for the first time. The key catalyst was an aggressive UBS upgrade, with analyst Timothy Arcuri raising his price target from $535 to $1,625, the highest on Wall Street. UBS argues that AI-driven demand for memory, especially HBM, is structurally changing the market. Micron’s HBM capacity for 2026 is reportedly almost sold out, with shortages expected to last at least until 2028. Investors are increasingly viewing Micron not just as a cyclical memory stock, but as a long-term AI growth story. The stock closed at $895.88. app.moodix.market/article/1769

🔸 HUAWEI UNVEILS LOGICFOLDING AS AN ALTERNATIVE TO MOORE’S LAW Huawei unveiled its new LogicFolding chip architecture, aiming to redefine semiconductor scaling beyond the traditional Moore’s Law approach. Presented at the IEEE ISCAS 2026 conference in Shanghai, the technology uses advanced 3D stacking and ultra-precise hybrid bonding to shorten signal paths and reduce energy loss inside chips. Huawei claims LogicFolding can deliver performance and transistor density comparable to a 1.4nm process without relying on cutting-edge EUV lithography restricted by U.S. sanctions. The first Kirin processors using the technology are expected in late 2026. Analysts remain cautious, but the announcement boosted SMIC shares by 7.6%. app.moodix.market/article/1767

🔸 IMF WARNS OF GLOBAL ECONOMIC DOWNTURN FROM OIL SHOCK   The IMF warned that the global economy is moving toward an “adverse scenario” due to the Iran war and rising oil prices, although long-term inflation expectations remain stable. The Fund is in talks with multiple countries to provide support and policy guidance in dealing with the energy shock. It also welcomed positive engagement between Trump and Xi Jinping as important for global stability. Meanwhile, the IMF continues support programs for Ukraine, Egypt, and Argentina, where it sees signs of stabilization and progress. However, it cautioned that energy disruptions could push food prices higher in coming months through rising fertilizer costs. app.moodix.market/article/1754

🇺🇸 🇨🇳 TRUMP AND XI SIGNAL PROGRESS AS US-CHINA RELATIONS STABILIZE The ongoing Trump-Xi summit in Beijing is so far sending cautiously positive signals about stabilizing US-China relations. During their key meeting on May 14, both leaders highlighted progress in trade and security discussions, although no major agreements have been officially signed yet. The clearest outcome so far is a joint commitment to keeping the Strait of Hormuz open amid rising tensions involving Iran, marking the summit’s first visible security achievement.   Trade remains the central focus of the talks. China and the US are reportedly working on a new multi-year framework for bilateral economic cooperation, including the creation of a joint “Board of Trade” to oversee investments, purchases and cooperation in non-sensitive sectors. Large Chinese purchases of Boeing aircraft, US agricultural goods and energy products are also under discussion, though final announcements are still pending.   The tone of the summit has been notably warmer compared to previous years. Trump stated that US-China relations could become “better than ever,” while Xi Jinping called Trump “a great leader.” At the same time, Beijing warned about tensions surrounding Taiwan but stressed that shared economic interests outweigh existing disputes.   The final day of the summit is expected to deliver more concrete announcements on trade deals, rare earth cooperation, AI and broader geopolitical coordination. app.moodix.market/article/1753

🔸 XI WARNS OF “THUCYDIDES TRAP” IN US-CHINA RELATIONS   Chinese President Xi Jinping invoked the concept of the “Thucydides Trap” during his summit with Donald Trump, referring to the historical risk of conflict between a rising power and an established one. Xi stressed that both the U.S. and China share responsibility for managing bilateral ties and avoiding escalation. The remarks come amid tensions over Taiwan, technology, trade, and Iran, signaling Beijing’s attempt to frame the relationship as strategic competition that must remain under control. app.moodix.market/article/1752

⚠️ MOODIX APP FOR IOS IS LIVE, ANDROID COMING SOON The first version of the Moodix app for iOS is out, and Android is currently going through the approval process. apps.apple.com/cz/app/moodix/… primary goal is to replace fragmented notifications. In the future, notifications will be delivered exclusively through our own apps, removing dependencies on third-party platforms. An unjustified block on X (Twitter) was a real wake-up call for us in this regard. Even though the profile has since been restored, it still does not function properly (it does not provide notifications), and we have already given up trying to fix it. Notifications for market openings and closings have been added to the iOS/Android apps. The UI design itself will continue to evolve over time, and we will gradually bring the key features from the web version into the apps. We are also planning versions for tablets and the ability to use the app on desktop systems (Windows/Mac). The app will gradually become available on smartwatches as well. At this point, the main part of the work is complete, and new features should continue to roll out progressively with the goal of making it easier to consume Moodix updates in these “crazy times.” Thanks! app.moodix.market/article/1751

🔸 US ENFORCES IRAN PORT BLOCKADE   U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said American forces continue to aggressively enforce the naval blockade around Iranian ports. Over the past four weeks, U.S. forces have redirected 67 commercial vessels, allowed 15 humanitarian aid ships to pass, and disabled four vessels to ensure compliance. Earlier this week, two commercial ships were forced to turn around after radio warnings and warning shots were fired. CENTCOM is signaling that U.S. control and pressure on Iran remain fully operational. app.moodix.market/article/1750

🔸 TRUMP TURNS SUMMITS INTO REALITY TV, UNDERESTIMATES TAIWAN   Bloomberg columnist Andreas Kluth argued that Donald Trump treats international summits largely as media-driven reality TV designed to dominate the news cycle. According to Kluth, Trump brings CEOs to summits because he wants “deals, deals, deals” and measures success through headline impact. Kluth also warned that Trump underestimates Taiwan’s strategic importance, viewing it more as an economic competitor than a crucial U.S. partner against China. He suggested that Chinese President Xi Jinping would prefer to take Taiwan without military force — and that Trump’s approach could unintentionally play into that strategy. app.moodix.market/article/1749

🔸 IEA WARNS OF MAJOR GLOBAL OIL SHORTAGE IN 2026   The International Energy Agency (IEA) sharply worsened its 2026 oil market outlook due to the Iran war and disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz. The agency now expects global oil supply to be 1.78 million barrels per day below demand, reversing its previous surplus forecast. Since February, the Hormuz crisis has removed an estimated 12.8 million barrels per day from global supply. Refinery runs are also projected to fall by 1.6 million barrels per day because of attacks, lower crude availability, and export restrictions. The IEA warned that oil inventories are falling at a record pace and the crisis impact is proving far more severe than previously expected. app.moodix.market/article/1748

🔹 SOFTBANK POSTS HUGE BEAT DRIVEN BY OPENAI GAINS   SoftBank delivered a major earnings beat for fiscal 2026, driven largely by its AI investments. Net income reached 5 trillion yen, far above expectations, while Q4 alone generated an exceptionally strong 1.83 trillion yen profit. A key driver was SoftBank’s investment in OpenAI, with cumulative investments totaling $34.6B and reported gains of around $45B. Revenue slightly beat estimates and the dividend remained unchanged. The results reinforce SoftBank’s aggressive positioning around the AI boom. app.moodix.market/article/1747

🇺🇸 🇮🇷 IRAN BETS ON TIME AND GLOBAL ECONOMIC PRESSURE THROUGH HORMUZ The current Iranian strategy is seen as focused not on quick victory, but on exhausting its opponents over time. Tehran rejected negotiations under Washington’s terms and, after the conflict escalated, shifted pressure from the military sphere to the global economy. The closure of the Strait of Hormuz became a key move, disrupting oil markets, shipping, and supply chains worldwide. According to the analysis, the US and Israel expected a limited conflict that could weaken the regime, but Iran instead turned it into a broader regional crisis. Comparisons to the Vietnam War suggest Tehran is betting on time, resilience, and the gradual erosion of American political will. Donald Trump is portrayed as being trapped between prolonging the conflict and avoiding a politically damaging withdrawal. app.moodix.market/article/1745
