#TheSuperMarioGalaxyMovie is the original powered by a superstar. A 100 minute sugar rush, with fan service galore, that starts at 90mph and barely stops for breath. Largely the same issues with the first movie remain, but fans will be delighted. Full review Tuesday.

@RooshWilliams I really think he was simply playing through injury for a while & then was trying to find his fit within this year’s squad with KD expected to play a particular role and with ever shifting PG situations, plus the morale hit from some of the religious harassment he got from home.

How I would've personally handled the Mario Movie sequel structure. The Super Mario Bros. Movie The Super Mario Land Movie The Super Mario World Movie The Super Mario Galaxy Movie I like the idea of each movie title alluding to things getting grander in scale.

@artsyomni They have things up nicely to move next to anything they want due to the framing. Smash Bros. themed film, a Mario Kart spinoff film series (like Disney’s Cars), Odyssey / Wonder content, Mario Land / Wario Land / Luigi’s Mansion, expanded universe films like Kirby / Metroid.

@artsyomni I am sure you are correct. I still think it might have been nice to see them go with “Super Mario World” for the 2nd film and focus on Yoshi, Yoshi’s island, the Super Mario World lands, the cartoon’s cavemen, the Koopalings, and Super Mario Bros. 3 content. But I see the vision.

So is it safe to say at this point that the choice to go with Mario Galaxy as a second movie was motivated primarily by the intention to expand the universe? It's a convenient framing to facilitate drawing from as many different sources as possible, Mario and otherwise.

@lyssah_a I think every existing Comets fan should get a Perrot jersey and wear them at the first home game in the stadium as like a big showing. So we all say together as Houston fans that Kim is never forgotten as the heart of the original WNBA dynasty.
