We would like to provide a detailed and transparent explanation of the situation to our community members, investors, and supporters. TL;DR At 08:39 UTC on October 6, Gate announced the delisting of 15 perpetual contracts, including MORE. Our team immediately reached out to Gate for clarification. However, Gate did not provide any concrete explanation or technical reason, only stating that the decision was final and made by its perpetual contract team. Even more concerning, there was less than 24 hours between the announcement (Oct 6, 08:39 UTC) and the forced liquidation (Oct 7, 08:00 UTC). During this short period, MORE had an open interest of roughly $2–3 million on Gate. Closing this volume of positions in such a limited timeframe was extremely difficult, leading to large-scale forced liquidations on October 7 and severe volatility in the spot market. More Details We fully understand that this sudden event caused confusion and losses for many who believed in MORE. Below is a complete and factual summary of what we know so far: 1. Gate made no prior communication with our team before issuing the announcement. The delisting notice was only shared via a public post, which received very limited visibility. Many users did not see it in time and were directly force-liquidated, suffering significant losses during the rapid price drop. 2. The open interest of MORE was significantly higher than most other tokens included in the announcement, with a large number of users still holding active positions on Gate. Upon seeing the notice, we immediately reached out to the Gate team, requesting clarification and repeatedly proposing a smoother delisting process to help minimize user losses. Unfortunately, Gate responded that this was the final decision made by its perpetual contract team and could not be reversed. We believe Gate’s handling of this matter lacked communication, transparency, and basic user protection, especially given the foreseeable market impact of such a short liquidation window. 3.
