@Dhallerlincoln @eliash10 At this point in the season, rest is essential. 50+ games is not easy on the body or the mind, so 5 days off will be a benefit nine times out of ten.

@eliash10 love hate relationship. Hopefully these teams are tired playing this many games and they use up their pitchers and bullpens. But then again they’ve been playing all week when the higher seeds are coming in cold essentially but rested up. So you hope the guys are fresh and ready.

I don’t love the idea that the higher seeded teams are rewarded by sitting for a week and playing a single elimination round against teams that have been playing all week…
