Can we be honest, Isak has been a terrible signing. £125m for a striker on course to finish the season with just 4 goals in all competition🫢 We gambled on an injury-prone player and it’s failed spectacularly. At that price, he needed to hit the ground running. If United had signed him, we’d be laughing at them now for it. 'Wait for a full pre-season' is wishful thinking when he’s likely to come back injured from the World Cup anyway. Realistically, you can’t defend this as anything above a 1/10 signing right now.

@j_spaceman @DougieCritchley He's still better than Gakpo. A run of games could've changed all of this in a season where he's had no injuries. He runs more than any of our attacking players and defends the best out of position. There's a reason for our love. Its his heart on sleeve performances like Robbo.

You know who I feel sorry for? Federico Chiesa. Chiesa has shown his talent and quality over the years for both club and country... But after being signed by Liverpool for an initial £10m in August 2024, he's started 2 League games in the near 2 full seasons since. Yes, he struggled with injury in his first, but as far as I'm aware he's been fit for the vast majority of 25/26. And yet... despite Liverpool selling Diaz, Nunez and unfortunately losing Jota, despite Gakpo's poor form this season and the fact that Liverpool played in 4 competitions... He's barely got a look in... I just don't get it!

@DougieCritchley After showing determination to stay and fight for his spot in the summer, he gave enough to start. Slot has no spine for blatantly wasting a whole season of his career without excuse during his fittest season at Liverpool.

There’s a clear similarity between Florian Wirtz and Roberto Firmino situations. Both were played under managers who constantly used them out of position and never fully understood how to unlock their strengths. Rodgers got sacked, then Klopp arrived , he trusted Bobby, built the system around him, and the rest is history. Wirtz needs his own Klopp, because the difference between how he plays for Germany and how he looks under Arne Slot is is too obvious to ignore.
