@icircadianrythm @TinyTimYork @camtheripper @DrSweets24 Growing up with black people doesn’t make you part of the culture either right? Isn’t being part of the culture consuming, embodying and contributing to black ideas and values? Please give a definition.

@TinyTimYork @camtheripper @DrSweets24 Having a black father doesn’t make you part of the culture. I swear yall pretend to be slow on purpose. Drake is the same dude who says his dad was nonexistent in his life. He grew up with WHITE CANADIANS in TORONTO. Eminem is more part of the culture than Drake.

@Heretocreep212 @DrSweets24 Even if this was the case, why do people pretend Atlanta and Hip Hop as a whole hasn’t fed off Drake as well? Do you know what access a Drake feature gives?

TI AND Jeezy were on Drake’s debut album. Drake BEEN laying real groundwork with Atlanta artists for a decade and a half. That’s not a nigga who just uses Atlanta when it’s convenient.

@KyleGri57407261 @okcamars You honestly don’t understand why he’d sue his label for pushing songs that defame him just so they can have more leverage in contract negotiations?

@_sdvh Yes but I wouldn’t put it that simply, the issue is a lot of thinking is done with the incorrect assumptions, assumptions you have to make because you can’t think of every variable in your problem from first principles. Figuring out which of those are wrong is not easy.

@GuleVuyani @PatrioticMedia1 OH yes, yet, no society has been able to make do with one class alone. I think that where their anger should be is on the security system. How is it that they beat the whole security system and successfully illegally come in,in such a number that is troubling.

Sorry, have to interject, the logical conclusion is Sushi > Magwinya😂? I get this is probably just to rage bait the other guy but at what cost? Both of you are just causing more division so you can win an argument on X. Also bro, what is it with this worshipping of non-African people and culture that I encounter every time I speak to a Zimbabwean? Obviously there are many things those cultures are doing right that we aren’t but please bro, let’s draw the line at berrating Magwinya.

This is not good for South Africa. It is deeply troubling for fellow African countries to issue advisories urging their citizens to exercise caution when travelling to another African country. It paints a picture of lawlessness, insecurity, and a government that has either lost control of the situation or is aiding and abetting this madness. Such developments damage not only a country’s reputation, but also investor confidence, tourism, and regional trust. Africa cannot build meaningful unity and economic cooperation if African citizens begin to fear travelling within the continent itself.

Hear what you’re saying, but completely disagree with the black people are corrupt notion. Politicians will always drop to the level of accountability the public holds them to. It’s just too easy to steal with impunity here, that is the difference, not race. We don’t have good systems. I do agree that there is likely an essence of cultural rot we need to address but you do that on the system level. This very thing is evident in your post. You’re actively expecting corruption from the border officials, this is what I believe is part of our problem. The soft bigotry of low expectations. Also even if politicians don’t loot, what is that going to change about our immigration issue? From where I stand, Zimbabwe and Mozambique seem to be the lynchpins that could change Southern Africa and maybe africa at large. Unlike the Nothern and West African countries, I believe our cultures are commensurate and our people are quite easily integrate-able. If these two countries actually make a turn for the better, that would be the beginning of a strong economic block and in a generation, we may not need borders at all. But only the people of Zim and Mozambique can make this happen, and I’m concerned that they never will if they migrate to countries around the world instead of staying home and fighting the system.

So from your perspective, what can reasonably be done? Should we just allow unchecked migration? What do we do about illegal migrants that place stress on local infrastructure? Consider in your answer, that SA is a developing country. We honestly don’t have the billions it would require to secure a 5000KM border, money which should rather be spent on education and healthcare services, which we desperately need. The only real long term solution I see is the development of our neighboring countries so there is less pressure to migrate. But there does not seem to be any trend in the direction of economic recovery in neighboring countries and so foreigners will likely not leave on their own accord.

Nigeria’s acting ambassador to South Africa Alexander Temitope Ajayi says ongoing anti-migrant protests have instilled fear among foreign nationals, urging demonstrators to raise their concerns without resorting to violence. Ajayi maintains that while the marches are not necessarily xenophobic, a global perception persists that SA is hostile towards Nigerians. Watch: tinyurl.com/3dm9ann9 #Newzroom405
