@northernassist Morecambe station is also proudly remembering our fallen today #RemembranceSunday

Across our network, our stations are proudly adorned with poppies and tributes as we mark Remembrance Sunday. At 11am we will be observing a two-minute silence to honour the memory of those killed or injured in the defence of their country. ❤️

On Sunday 9 November, we proudly offer free train travel for veterans and serving Armed Forces personnel. As we observe Remembrance Sunday, we honour the courage and sacrifice of those who served and reflect on their contributions to our freedom.

Now we’re inviting you to pick a poppy and take it home for a suggested donation of £2, with all proceeds going directly towards supporting Morecambe’s Armed Forces community.

Outside Morecambe Station you’ll find 2 striking willow-sculpted Spitfires soaring above a bed of 500 poppies, each one painted by members of the local community and our Town Rangers.

Morecambe Town Council funding will enable the restoration of the historic fishing vessel 'Spray' and her relocation back in Morecambe, where she’ll help people learn more about the historic social and cultural role of fishing on the Bay. Read more: morecambe.gov.uk/2025/09/histor…

Over the past three years, 330+ vital community spaces have been saved from closure thanks to the Community Ownership Fund. Local pubs, iconic music venues, theatres, sports clubs and more have been rescued by the £150 million fund across the whole of the UK.
