Keep comparing yourself to a man, you are no where near a man, that’s why they say if a man cheats, a woman cheats back, continue, a man can sle£p with thousands of women and still find 500 women willing to marry him but a woman sl£eping with 15 men, none will want to marry her. 6 Businesses You Should Not Do In Nigeria If You Want To Live Long This is not really business advice — it’s a warning about your health. In this country, some businesses won’t just stress you… they can affect your blood pressure, your peace of mind, and your mental health. If you already have health issues, please think carefully before starting any of these. 1. Public Transport Business (Danfo, Keke, Bus, Logistics) I ran this business for 3+ years managing 40 vehicles and using over 200 drivers in 3 years. So, when I talk about this, I know exactly what I am saying. You wake up with hope. You sleep with frustration. Drivers will: Travel one route and report another Buy fuel at ₦30k and bring receipt of ₦70k Damage your vehicle and say, “Oga, na brake fail” Add police stops, LASTMA wahala, mechanic, road conditions... You will start the business smiling. In 6 months, your doctor will know your name personally. 2. Building Materials Supply (Cement, Iron Rod, etc.) One day price is ₦5,500... Next week it is ₦7,500... no explanation. Customers will: Price you like you are their enemy Delay payments for months Blame you for market changes you didn’t create Meanwhile, suppliers are increasing prices like they are chasing something. 3. School Business (Low/Middle Income Areas) This one is emotional stress + financial stress combined. Parents will owe school fees for 2–3 terms Teachers want salary every month (rightly so) Government policies can change anytime You will be running a “ministry” instead of a business. If you are not strong mentally and financially, this business can drain you quietly 4. Poultry Business This one has sent many people into prayer and panic. 15 years ago I had a poultry with over 700 birds. If I tell you that poultry business can kill you before your time, just believe me. Why poultry can raise your BP: Feed price can jump suddenly Birds can die in large numbers Disease outbreak can wipe out months of effort Weather affects production Egg prices can crash when supply is high Medication and vaccines are not cheap Imagine feeding hundreds or thousands of birds every day with rising cost... only for market price to refuse to cooperate. You are spending money every single day whether sales are sweet or not. That kind of pressure is not for the faint-hearted. One bad cycle can humble even a very confident entrepreneur. 5. Forex Trading/ Crypto Do you honestly want me to talk about this? I doubt if you are ready for it. No business in this world is as volatile as forex. Forex is not just a business. It is an emotional rollercoaster disguised as opportunity. The market can move against you in seconds You can lose money faster than you made it Profit today... loss tomorrow News, policies, global events can affect your trade instantly Please, don't go near if you have any sort of health issue related to BP. 6. Event Planning / Rentals (Chairs, Canopies, Decorations) Everything looks glamorous on Instagram... But behind the scenes: Clients will price you till your ancestors feel it They will delay payment till the event day After event, half your chairs will vanish Rain can scatter everything in 10 minutes. And guess who they will blame? You. It’s not that these businesses are bad. People are making millions from them. But here is what nobody tells you: 👉 Some businesses require strong emotional stamina 👉 Some require tight systems and controls 👉 Some require experience and street wisdom If you don’t have these... you will pay with your health. Simple Rule: Before you enter any business in Nigeria, ask yourself: “Do I have the temperament, structure, and strength for this?” Because in this country, profit is not just about money... it is about survival. If this opened your eyes, share it. Someone needs to see this before they “invest” their BP into the wrong business. © Kenneth Uche

NaijaFarmer
NaijaFarmer@Nig_Farmer·
Only if people know what we face in that field. Some years ago, I collected a huge bank loan, got some Int'l investors, we cultivated grains, had a good harvest and also offtake from other farmers. We had around 1,000 tonnes in our warehouse in Kano. Per my calculations if Maize price remains at 650k per ton, we would have around 19% net profit. If it goes down to 600k we'll just break even. If it goes below 600k. I have entered generational debt. I did some investigation and I heard maize prices would go up, as a good guy I came online to tell my farmer followers not to sell bcs price would go up. I held my maize for 2 weeks and sold out my 1000 tons. I was dragged for years! 😂😂😂 NaijaFarmer is hoarding maize, I was featured on all social platforms with my pictures everywhere, even Tinubu mentioned that some farmers are hoarding maize.. A year before, I had lost tens of millions bcs the price of Maize didn't move & harvest wasn't good. I was dealt double blow from production & market. We sold our 1000 tons. Paid my bank loan, paid back investors & pulled out from production bcs an insider said Tinubu is planning to open border for maize importation. Everyone in production knows that policy will crumble local maize production totally. Agriculture in Nigeria is volatile, unpredictable & lonely. You can do everything right & things will still go wrong. Now, I have gone back to my first love, extension education & consultancy services. You see that production... I don wash my hand. Chimdi my prayers are with you dear ❤️🙏

One of my greatest mistake in Life as a Farmer is being a FARMER. I shouldn’t have invested in a sector that is dependent on Government policies and bottlenecks. In my line of business, there’s no escaping Government inefficiencies. Nigerian Government will do everything in agriculture except solving problems. For more than 20 years farmers have been saying that we suffer seasonal Glut because we simply cannot individually afford Machinery for Egg Pasteurization. Government will listen to our complaints, lie that they are coming up with a NEGPRO scheme and go ahead to simply do the opposite of what was agreed. With high Electricity and Gas prices, investors are guaranteed not make their money back as Egg powder produced in Nigeria will fail to compete with Global market. Companies will rather import than buy made in Nigeria raw materials. State Governors are worse, they simply have no clue of what to do outside of using fertilizer as a political tool. They have refused to build or sustain any critical infrastructure (Dams, Health and safety of animals, meaningful collaborations or Training) The CBN under Emefiele refused to allow the Bank of Agriculture to do its job. With the growing insecurity and policy missteps farmers in Nigeria have little to no incentive to continue to run or grow their businesses. Don’t go into Agriculture, it’s simply not worth it.

Condemned Phone, Condemned Laptop! How Nigerians are selling their passwords "at good prices" “Condemn phone! Condemn computer! Handset to baje baje! We are buying it in a good price!” That line is now common on Nigerian streets. Traders move around with megaphones, telling people to bring out condemned phones and laptops. The idea is for you bring anything faulty and collect cash immediately. What is not mentioned is the risk attached to what Nigerians still have inside those devices. Your Password, not hardware, it's the real Price A faulty phone is often seen as useless, especially when it falls inside water. But in reality, the storage is usually still intact even if the screen or battery is bad. This means personal data can still be accessed. The least thing like sensitive pictures could still be retrieved. Many of these devices still have access to banking apps, email accounts and social media. In some cases, the accounts are still logged in, so no password is needed. Where passwords are saved, they can be retrieved. If the SIM is still linked, it can also be used for OTP and verification. So, what looks like a simple condemned phone or laptop sale is actually a transfer of access to someone you don’t know. What Sellers don't know it's costing them. There is a gap between what sellers think they are giving away and what buyers may actually be interested in. From reactions seen on Facebook, most of these devices are bought between ₦500 and ₦10,000. The buyer promises a “good price”, checks the device, and then gives a final amount with little room for argument. To the seller, the phone is useless. To the buyer, there may still be value inside it — especially saved passwords and access. What happens after you sell your device? Once a device is sold without properly deleting your information, anything inside it can still be accessed and used by the seller, the repairer, or the next buyer. This can lead to unauthorised bank transactions. Personal details stored on the device can be used to apply for loans. Email access can be used to reset passwords across different platforms. Social media accounts can also be taken over and used for scams. Even if the phone does not come on, the storage can be removed and accessed with other tools. The device does not need to be working for the data to be read. Street trade with no protection This business operates without structure. There is no shop, no receipt, and no way to trace who bought the device. Payments are done in cash, and there is no discussion about what happens to the data. Once you hand over the device, that is the end of the transaction. This means devices with sensitive information are entering a system with no control. What Nigerians Must Do Before Selling The risk can be reduced if proper steps are taken before selling any device. 1. Remove SIM cards and memory cards. 2. Sign out of all accounts on the device. 3. Clear saved passwords and browser data. 4. Carry out a full factory reset if the phone still works. 5. If the device does not power on, the storage should be removed or destroyed. For laptops, this means removing the hard drive or SSD. These steps are necessary. Without them, access goes with the device. So, "We Buy at Good Prices" is not about your phone The phrase “we are buying it in a good price” sounds harmless, but it is not just about the phone. Your password, pictures, bank details, etc. are being handed over. So, access to bank accounts, personal identity and private information could be the reason Nigerians report unauthorized bank transactions and loan applications in their accounts. The problem may not show immediately, but it can appear later through unauthorised transactions or account access. This is not just about selling old condemned devices. It is about understanding what is inside them and what is being given away. Copied
