Sancerre prices have risen. Can’t stop it. If it wasn’t so niche and had some backbone when it came to popularity, Austrian Sauvignon Blanc would take over. I’ve tasted so many amazing wines recently that over deliver for the money. Consumer doesn’t trust it yet… Sadly.

@Sammoman Come to think of it though, if you want killer value in SB, you could also head across the border to Friuli as well!

@MorganWHarris Agreed. Also niche. All the $50+ Austrian SBs just end up in my glass. I well. Hot take: I’ve had many vintages of older oak aged SBs from Austria and they’re less than $60. They drink better than most $100+ White Bordeaux.

@bmkibler That goat cheese in olive oil is amazing if you put it in an oven for like 5-10 mins at 200 F., and then broil it for 30 seconds to a min or so...just keep an eye on it so you don't overdo it.

My local cheesemonger is closing so I had to make the most of my last chance to shop there

@JohnBGilman "Applauded by their client base" and increasing profitability aren't the same thing. This is a company that started selling coffee and is now basically a milkshake business that also happens to sell coffee.

@JohnBGilman It's almost as if profits really guide everything and that rising labor cost would be impactful to their profitability...

@ZiggyDStarcraft Art design and voice acting is great, but the total lack of player agency makes it feel rather wooden. It's clear that they were considering making the player choose between options towards the end, but then scrapped it as too complicated to implement.

The Diablo 4 campaign was, on the whole excellent. The final act, the cutscenes, Lilith and many of the locations were top tier. There were a couple detractors (overuse of static hologram/ghost monologues) but I think that was the most I've been engaged in an ARPG campaign.

Hey @GerardBertrandO - you're a biodynamic winery that espouses great concern for the environment. So why are you packaging your Cigalus Blanc in a bottle that weighs more than the wine it contains (1.694 kg when full)?!?!? Heavy bottles are awful for the planet. Stop it.
