@MindReflects @HanikaAlex76444 @MaryRuwart ok so Fascism is a concept and Idea that some came up with and gave it a name. They used this tool to shape a nation. Then after they shaped the nation they did bad things. Your using it like this I have A hammer and killed with it so now that hammer is death nothing else

@Morrigon36 @HanikaAlex76444 @MaryRuwart Perhaps you are projecting? Trump is applying these steps but in much slower and weaker pace. It is exemplified in the coup attempt in January of 2021. It lacked the fascist will. Maybe next time he has it.

@MindReflects @HanikaAlex76444 @MaryRuwart Are you going to just keep using examples of random things or you going to answer some of questions or at least explain how you came to some conclusion? There isn't much point to have a one way conversion

@Morrigon36 @HanikaAlex76444 @MaryRuwart No, these are illiberal and perhaps fascist movements that have influence within different nations. It represents the modern day right wing conservatism that is turning more fascist each year.

@MindReflects @HanikaAlex76444 @MaryRuwart The Video I sent you explains the history that lead to your definition. How they was able to achieve this type of government in the long run. You're using the same framing of ideas they did to achieve their goals

@Morrigon36 @HanikaAlex76444 @MaryRuwart Fascism is a right-wing populist movement originating within a democracy using hatred and violence to concentrate power to the leader. Key aspect is ultranationalism and revolutionary rebirth as a nation, but in today's world it expresses itself in a weaker fashion.

@Morrigon36 @HanikaAlex76444 @MaryRuwart I don't understand your question. If you want to see examples of illiberal states, then look at Orban's Hungary (which just lost the elections). You can also look at Fico's Slovakia, AFD in Germany. These are illiberal people looking up to Trump making the state authoritarian.

@MindReflects @HanikaAlex76444 @MaryRuwart Your using words you have been hearing in the media. Words that are being used because they bring up strong emotions but you (and media) are using them out of context or bending them into something they are not.

@Morrigon36 @HanikaAlex76444 @MaryRuwart No it is not. An illiberal state can have the formalities of a democracy but in the background it works for the interest of the few. These are transitory stages between political structures. The key question is how the power is distributed.

@Morrigon36 @HanikaAlex76444 @MaryRuwart These all are separate conversations that were tight together. But sure, the concentration of economic power is one of the biggest problems to tackle within the west. The are no bogeymans just self-interested capital turning the US into a fascist state.

@Morrigon36 @HanikaAlex76444 @MaryRuwart Because the collapse of the Soviet Union reflects the collapse happening in the US. The similarity in the rise of private capital is striking. I didn't say the US is a dictatorship, only a de-facto oligarchy. Americans did vote, but it is irrelevant.

@Morrigon36 @HanikaAlex76444 @MaryRuwart Supreme court has been infiltrated for decades now. It will have the conservative majority many years to come. The republican party itself is completely bought by special interests, no doubt about that, so is the democratic but to a lesser extent. What justified the boat strikes?

@MindReflects @HanikaAlex76444 @MaryRuwart Ok so recap we are being exploited by parasitic companies. Some boogeyman (s) are buying us out and controlling our lives somehow. You feel you should be paid for the value of the product you help made rather than the skill or time involved? did I miss something?

@Morrigon36 @HanikaAlex76444 @MaryRuwart No, I am not saying that the US is a dictatorship. Neither was Russia in the early 90s. Oligarchy means that the country is effectively controlled by the billionaire class towards their own interest. It can easily devolve into a dictatorship.

@MindReflects @HanikaAlex76444 @MaryRuwart definition of : Oligarchy is a form of government (or power structure) in which power is held by a small group of people, rather than by a single ruler (monarchy/dictatorship) or by the majority of citizens (democracy).

@MindReflects @HanikaAlex76444 @MaryRuwart If that was true he would be impeached. Are you telling me the house and senate and all the judges have been bought to look the other way? Or you saying people have different opinions and should be arrested?

@Morrigon36 @HanikaAlex76444 @MaryRuwart Your president is breaking the constitution daily by overriding the powers of the congress, starting illegal wars, bombing civilians in the oceans and giving immigration agents the power to detain citizens. At the same time the supreme court voted for essential immunity in 2024.

@MindReflects @HanikaAlex76444 @MaryRuwart Your whole bases of this argument is its wrong. How can it not matter then? Again with the Oligarchy. Are you saying America is a dictatorship? So no American Voted? Every vote was tossed in the trash after some boogeyman bought them all?

@Morrigon36 @HanikaAlex76444 @MaryRuwart It is not a matter of right or wrong. What happened was that the oligarchy chose 2 candidates and one of them won. Perhaps surprisingly, the one who spend 30% less won. The point being that both were representing the interest of private capital.

@MindReflects @HanikaAlex76444 @MaryRuwart You can't just run around saying the sky is falling (job takin BTW ) without facts and proof. If you chose to live in a fantasy based world that's ok but you need more to convince others of the fantasy.

@Morrigon36 @HanikaAlex76444 @MaryRuwart These are interesting questions but irrelevant to the fact that the both were the choices of different billionaires and that was what mattered. This time the more explicitly corrupt one won. It will be interesting to see whether this results in a sequel to the Soviet collapse.

@MindReflects @HanikaAlex76444 @MaryRuwart If that's true and they bought the election why didn't the one who had the most money win? why can't that just be campaign funds to pay for the cost of the campaign. How do they pay for the services of others without income?
