Why are they only showing this one picture from a single angle? Why not provide other angles, or even better, a video? This photo feels a bit suspicious. Sorry, but I have enough of their lies. Don’t blame me.

Following the completion of an initial examination regarding a photograph published earlier today of an IDF soldier harming a Christian symbol, it was determined that the photograph depicts an IDF soldier operating in southern Lebanon.
The IDF views the incident with great severity and emphasizes that the soldier’s conduct is wholly inconsistent with the values expected of its troops.
The incident is being investigated by the Northern Command and is currently being addressed through the chain of command. Appropriate measures will be taken against those involved in accordance with the findings.
Furthermore, the IDF is working to assist the community in restoring the statue to its place.
The IDF is operating to dismantle the terrorist infrastructure established by Hezbollah in southern Lebanon, and has no intention of harming civilian infrastructure, including religious buildings or religious symbols.

The IDF is currently examining the reliability of the photograph. If this is indeed a real, recent picture, these actions do not align with the IDF's values and the behavior expected of IDF soldiers. The incident will be investigated thoroughly and in depth, and if necessary, steps will be taken in accordance with the findings.

Interesting story, but I need proof. Evidence means more than anything. You know this was a Lebanese Journalist? Prove it was please. Thousands of incidents? Prove that claim please. IOF? So you’re telling me that a “journalist” took a pic on a single incident and that put “IOF” in panic mode? The thousands of other incidents didn’t though? Did no one have photos of the thousands of other incidents?

Any evidence it’s a soldier? Why do you assume a villager couldn’t have? ( Let me be clear) you may be right, but not enough evidence to affirm that claim. Let’s say it was a soldier. IDF says Appropriate measures will be taken against “those” involved. So that means any soldiers will be reprimanded besides the one doing it, if they were involved.
