Violence & abuse against Muslims is wrong & reprehensible, but that does not mean that it should have the status of a special crime compared to that against anyone else. Conversely, criticism of Islam or the Koran should be allowed as much as against any other faith or holy text.

Sunday on @BBCRadio4 has a strange idea of balanced reporting: both Jewish AND Palestinian academics who display posters accusing Israel of genocide. No one who feels threatened by this or challenges this slander.

It’s amazing that Hamas can’t even locate accurately the bodies of Israeli hostages, but the world believes their “exact” figures of those killed in the war (none of whom were terrorists, of course!).

My heart goes out with love & support for trans people - my friends, colleagues, congregants - whose identity, rights & daily lives have been thrown into worry & fear by the ruling of the UK Supreme Court, when trans & LGBTQI+ rights are under intense attack around the world. 🏳️⚧️

Dear Chief Rabbi. You have written to MPs objecting to assisted dying: that’s ok, so long as MPs realise there is a diversity of views within the Jewish community, with many other rabbis in favour because those dying in dreadful pain need the option to let go if they so wish.

Dear Wes Streeting: you say we should be cautious on assisted dying, but the same system being proposed here has been working in Oregon for 27 years; we have huge experience that it works well & safely. Legalising will give people options & save the terminally ill dying in pain.

Melhem Asad, an Arab Maccabi Tel Aviv fan, helped save Jewish lives last night during the search-and-rescue in Amsterdam.
For several hours, he spoke loudly in Arabic with groups of Israelis who were hiding to mislead assailants into thinking they were not Jewish so they would be left alone.
Melhem saved countless Jewish lives last night.
