@JochenReiser Similar to HIV etc most likely COVID19 has a direct effect in the kidney. It will be most desirable to put a consortium together and then investigate several potential pathways.

#COVID19 is a disease with an increase in proteinuria, AKI and dialysis. We must not get satisfied with just explaining these phenomena 2/2 viral illness and ICU. Let’s understand the causes, learn from them and find specific treatments to protect the kidney.
