Anyone got a spare $3.5M? 👀 Ryo Hirakawa, a Toyota factory driver in the World Endurance Championship, paid this year’s constructors’ champions $3.5m (£2.6m) to take part in FP1 at the 2024 Abu Dhabi GP, which included two ‘Testing of Previous Cars’ (TPC) events in older machinery to prepare. GT class requiring a bronze kills it. I know they are funding the teams mostly, but it spreads the field out so much, no one is really interested in watching them and the winner is who’s bronze is the least slow. A pinnacle series should be pro only. ELMS should be mixed ability

This is easily one of the worst 24 hours of Le Mans I've watched. No drama, BoP so screwed Ferrari has tried to lose this race about 10 different times but cannot, little GT battling. Most memorable thing we will remember 2025 for is the bugs, man.

@jameypricephoto Not sure why they have done it to be honest. I would make sense if all cars were muffled for noise regulations, but when the Cadillacs are basically a portable thunderstorm, it doesn’t make a difference

WOW. It is so sad how these GT3 cars have been muffled so much. I’m so used to the noise they make in IMSA, that these are almost silent. BIG BIG BOOOO to that European BS. #LeMans24

@DraytonKnowles Porsche are the best at running the race. Always have been. It’s a big reason why they won WEC despite having the fastest car at only one round last season (that being Qatar, Estre’s Le Mans pole doesn’t count that lap was a joke)
