@Crypto_NBK @PatrickChristys If you're not having the nicest life (for any number of reasons) then a day out is a relief and a good thing. Don't be such a tight and utter arsehole.
And yes, some are literally 'retarded' (as you put it so eloquently). Try that and see how you like it

English

@PatrickChristys Not really a necessary use of our tax money is it. A fucking day out 😂 retarded.
English

@MarkMeadows it's the 'playing with children' bit he should be locked up for... meaning far less bullshit in the world whilst he tries to distract from the #epsteinfiles

This has been weighing heavily on me, and I can’t stay quiet about it any longer.
I am 71 years old. I’ve been fortunate enough to attend five World Cups, starting in 1986. Those tournaments weren’t just events to me, they were life chapters. They were about connection, about culture, about standing shoulder to shoulder with people from every corner of the world, united by the game we love.
But what I’m seeing now breaks my heart.
The current dynamic pricing strategy for the upcoming World Cup feels completely detached from the very soul of football. Yes, this tournament is being played mostly in the United States, and yes, it’s a premium market. But football was never meant to be a luxury product reserved for the highest bidder. It belongs to the people. Always has. I looked back fondly at USA 94 and everything we did then to fill stadiums and bring the game to life for Americans who were just dipping their toes into the water of the beautiful game.
Right now, it feels like the average, passionate supporter, the ones who save for years, who travel across continents, who bring the color, the noise, the spirit, are being pushed out. Replaced by a model that prioritizes revenue over reality.
That’s a dangerous road because once you lose the authentic fan, you lose the essence of what makes the World Cup special.
I say this not just as a fan, but as someone who has spent a lifetime in and around the game. During my time at EA SPORTS, we stood shoulder to shoulder with FIFA when they needed it most. Our game kept millions of fans connected to football and to the World Cup when trust in the organization was at its lowest. We helped carry the flame.
Which is why this moment feels even more disappointing.
This may well be one of the last World Cups I have the chance to attend and I find myself wondering if the game I’ve loved all my life is slowly drifting away from people like me, and far more importantly, from the next generation who deserve to feel what I felt in 1986.
The World Cup should unite the world. Not divide it by price.
Football deserves better. And so do the fans. Come on @FIFAcom , sort this out… It’s not too late.

@mark__heath Hardly a surprise. We've played well about 5 times this season and are very fortunate to be in the position we are. I'm fearful of the derby; Saints away and the play offs that await

The 2026 EFL Awards shortlist is out - and there’s no-one from #itfc on it
Here’s who made it instead ⬇️

@Nigel_Farage @_GeorgeFinch You think we haven't heard him speak? He hasn't got an original thought in his head, just parrots shit he's heard you say.

#HIGNFY on Trump's illegal attack on Iran
Ian Hislop, "Trump literally thought the way to stop wars is to start them, and historically, that hasn't proved to be true"
Armando Iannucci, "No"
Ian Hislop, "He claimed that all of America's war aims have been fulfilled. It's impossible because they didn't have any"
Armando Iannucci, "And he said that he didn't start it, they started it, and what he did was pre start it, because he knew they were going to start it"
Ian Hislop, "And he is having negotiations with people who aren't imaginary"
Armando Iannucci, "That's true"
Ian Hislop, "Trump is not a fantasist who imagines that the voices in his head are the opposition in Iran negotiating. That's not his modus operandi"
Paul Merton, "No because he's a malignant narcissist"
Armando Iannucci, "He's the only person I know who negotiates with himself and comes out with a worse deal"

Europeans, after a four day weekend, reading about just how absolutely furious America is with them.
Harold__Finch@HaroldWren22
Most Europeans have no idea how absolutely furious with Europe America is. This is not just another disagreement. Betrayal is not something you just let slide. And the mouthy responses from Europeans are pouring gas on that fire. They have misjudged the situation gravely & it will have grave consequences for Europe— economically AND militarily.

@donmcgowan I think people are missing the point.
Kanye is a 100% bonafide twat.
whatever he says or does - from the music he makes, the clothes he designs, the women he dates, the statements he makes - is always wrong.
He only does this shit to get attention
English

This Kanye controversy is extremely interesting.
The very noisy, far-right mob, that parade Israeli flags in their bios alongside the Union Jack, are VERY quiet about this.
How do they play it?
It's free-speech vs. antisemitism roulette. 🎡
Should a black man who is also a Nazi be allowed to spread hatred against Jews in London?
You can almost hear Rupert Lowe's brain cell straining at the seams.

English

@trouble_man90 The Stock market reacts to EVERYTHING Trump says or does. How is that his fault or manipulation of the stock market? He's running a country. I'd say the market OVERREACTS to everything. political. It shouldn't.
English

@nadhimzahawi He died for your sins Nadhim (tax evasion, expenses, support of Brexit, etc)
But seriously, never seen such bollocks in all my life
English

@stuey_beef You won, get over it
It’s a pile of shit, was and still is a fucking stupid idea. Even more so now (who in their right mind wouldn’t want to be close to the beacon of hope and sanity of the EU rather than US for example)
And you’re crying over some marmalade you thick bastard
English

@ElderGrizzly @NickAmes82 @danohagan No, it really is the issue. We shouldn’t be seen anywhere near that lying, racist, grifting, divisive, mysoginist. It’s got nothing to do with politics - it’s morality
English

@NickAmes82 @danohagan Indeed. I’ve repeatedly said that even Farage visiting/being invited by Ashton isn’t the issue.
Lunch isn’t the issue.
It’s what it was used for and then the club tried to cover it up.
Both sides at fault for different reasons, but Reform masters of media manipulation #itfc
English

Fact Ipswich situation has been jumped upon by the grifters is maybe the worst consequence of the club's idiocy & naivety in letting this happen. Don't let them tell you the problem is Farage visiting club – it's the fact he was allowed to turn it into a Reform endorsement. #ITFC
English

@reformparty_uk Fucking low even by Reform standards. Human scum. Leave our club alone
English

@thenodeproject @ZackPolanski @LozzaFox He doesn’t have a problem with working class pal. The Right is full of money too - old and new - conservatives, ‘Christian’ values etc
The RWers at the top use the working class to get where they want because sadly they’re the only ones gullible enough to buy the b/s
English

@ZackPolanski @LozzaFox Shit answer that mate when you have an opportunity to be genuine and actually define what your problem with work class Brits is
English

What is the “far right?”
Did hope become abnormal?
I know that people have brains and that meaningless sloganeering sets off alarm bells in curious minds.
What exactly is it you are standing against?
Zack Polanski@ZackPolanski
Half a million people standing against the far right. Half a million people who care about each other and our communities. Half a million people ready to make hope normal again.
English

@JackITFC03 @IpswichTown @Jaceitfc Well you’re not.
But Farage is a racist with other very questionable morals
