Tyrannosaurus rex, the largest theropod known from the northern hemisphere. Its only rivals for size are the some of the southern carcharodontosaurs and Spinosaurus. It maintained some of the same cursorial adaptions of its ancestors, though its size minimized their effects.

What a croc! This #FossilFriday, meet Deinosuchus—a giant predator that was as long as a school bus & as heavy as an elephant. Partially healed bite marks found on the bones of a tyrannosaur match this croc's teeth, suggesting it could rival even the most formidable dinosaurs.

“Julieraptor” I didn’t know this specimen existed until 2024 when I walked around a corner seeking a Camarasaurs at The Great Plains Dinosaur Museum in Malta, Montana and found myself face to face with “Julieraptor.” Tis quite complete for a dromaeo! #FossilFriday #FossilCrates

Tyrannosaurs were successful apex predators in their time, dominating the niche across North America and Asia(possibly near globally depending on megaraptora). This 10 meter animal below would’ve stalked Texas during the late Cretaceous…

This image shows the hand of Allosaurus, including the three-fingered manus and large curved claws. Hand fossils are best known from sites in Utah and Wyoming. The claws were strongly built, likely used to grip and restrain prey while the animal delivered repeated bites. #bigsara
