I have finally released the (hopefully) actually completed version of my weather mod for New Vegas.

@kawoshiki I think Legends 1 still had better exploration with all the interconnected ruins, but fuck both games are so damn good. There's really nothing else quite like them.

@ShatteredSky_ua @starleine11 @ChucklefishLTD Starbound's entire development and all the changes in general are so weird.
They changed so much about the game since the Beta release. It's almost like they were terrified of just being Space Terreria or something, and the game became over all much worse because of it.
English

@starleine11 @MothVerKa @ChucklefishLTD 1.0 worldbuilding is weird. It's more comprehensive than beta, but the main plotline is a mediocre series of fetch quests.
Also they butchered Avian lore so much that I was flabberghasted when I played their quest in 1.0 (played the game since the Steam release)
English

@starleine11 @ChucklefishLTD Actually totally agree on both points.
Worldbuilding was definitely far weaker in the beta.
And I think a sandbox mode more in the style of the beta (Summoning and beating bosses more like Terreria to progress) might be enough to pull me back into the game.
English

@MothVerKa @ChucklefishLTD See, personally I think the worldbuilding in 1.0 was actually just better.
But it does also feel like the game would benefit from a “Sandbox” mode where you can explore the galaxy independently from the Protectorate storyline altogether.
English

@starleine11 @ChucklefishLTD The Beta had a lot of content that really didn't need to be scrapped or be as severely paired back as it was in 1.0.
My friend and I spent tons of time playing it together back then, and really felt it when they started gutting the game in favour of the more linear story.
English

@MothVerKa @ChucklefishLTD Beta was not that good, the game does need to be fleshed out, but it feels like people look at beta with rose-tinted glasses.
English

@kawoshiki I love that the second one is also locked behind the bullshit Digger license test.
Like "Good job, you beat our hard as fuck test! YHere's the worst mechanic in the game a second time!"

@Peach_Fightr He tried that and Lionsgate tried to totally Americanize the entire story and setting (Ruining the entire identity of the property) so he killed the project lmao.

My expectations keep getting lower... Why do modern game devs do this shit where they're like ashamed of games being treated as games? If you wanted to be a movie just make a movie ffs😭

Dmitry Glukhovsky, creator of the Metro novel series, does not believe the next entry Metro 2039 should be called a game. Instead, he calls it an experience. In times of war, he explains, stories must mirror reality so its lessons are never forgotten. This game, developed by 4A Games and shaped by the Ukraine conflict, stands as the most mature and intense in the franchise. It explores deep themes of suffering and conflict, pushing players to confront their own reflections in the post-apocalyptic Moscow underground.

@PuTiX15 @CursedGunPics_ I still have reason to doubt the designer had ever held a firearm before designing it.
English

@real_mistern @Ganyyuuu Yeah but he uses the same model, which immediately puts me off
