I made rough demos you hear here, then Peter had the idea of leaving space to build the song up after the final chorus by layering up harmonies & drums. Peter made the shimmering noises in the background by manipulating my guitar sound with a Watkins Copicat tape delay.

Myles Manley @whelanslive last night was so good. Spontaneous crowd harmonies & backing vocals for final song 'Pay me what I'm worth' was the cherry on top. He's playing Little Whelans again on Monday.

I had no clue how to promote, do social media for music, make videos, contact radio or journalists, but I did my best & learned loads in the process I haven't got the live side of things sorted yet, but I will, & I have loads of new music written that I can't wait to get out...

that set the feel for the final part. @Peter_Ashmore suggested we stick on pump organ & my friend @saltingsmusic played it. We recorded the foot pedals pumping air which you can really hear at the end. I had to record the harmonica parts in 30 second chunks due to crap lungs.

I can't overstate how nice it is to see your music get played. So much goes into writing, making & releasing music, with ups & downs of feelings about the songs from 'this is great' to 'maybe this is shit' to 'no, I like this'. You need a bit of external validation now & then.
