Today’s #FITFF is Bloodroot! Sanguinaria canadensis is the only species in this genus in the poppy family (Papaveraceae). Other common names include bloodwort, Indian paint, puccoon, and red puccoon. Bloodroot is used as a natural red or yellow-orange dye.
