Traffic Alert: Downtown Mountain View Road Closures Heading to Downtown Mountain View for the Summer of Soccer festivities this weekend? Please plan ahead, as several temporary road closures will be in effect to accommodate event activities and ensure everyone's safety. Road closure: Dana Street will be closed between Wild Cherry Lane and Blossom Lane. The event will feature activities along the 200 and 300 blocks of Castro Street. Businesses along Castro Street remain open, and we encourage you to stop by and support our local restaurants and shops. Marilyn is a 16-year-old female, approximately 5'1" and weighs 95 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a gray pro club zip up sweatshirt and gray pro club sweatpants. Please join us in congratulating Officers James Park and Jorge Farias! Both officers were honored with the 2025 Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Award for their outstanding dedication to keeping our roads safe and preventing impaired driving. Officer Park had 67 DUI arrests last year, and Officer Farias had 44. Their dedication to protecting our community makes a lasting difference every day, and we are proud to recognize this outstanding achievement. Please join us in congratulating Sergeant Schroeder on his promotion! He will be our newest patrol sergeant, proudly serving the Mountain View community. Sergeant Schroeder first joined the Mountain View Police Department in 2008 as a Reserve Officer and was hired as a full-time Police Officer in June 2012. During his career, Sergeant Schroeder has served in a variety of specialized and leadership roles. He was a member of the Department’s Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team, has served as a firearms instructor, and currently mentors and trains new officers as a Field Training Officer. He has also served on the Threat Assessment Team and the Mobile Field Force Team. Most recently, Sergeant Schroeder was assigned to the Crime Suppression Unit, where he investigated burglaries, other property crimes, and narcotics sales. If you see Sergeant Schroeder around town, be sure to congratulate him on his well-earned promotion!

Traffic Alert for Saturday, July 4, 2026 If you're planning to visit Shoreline Amphitheater, Shoreline Park, or the surrounding areas this Saturday, please be aware of traffic restrictions and road closures that will affect how you leave the area. These restrictions will take effect starting at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 4, 2026, and end at 1:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 5, 2026. Leaving Shoreline: If you're west of Shoreline Boulevard, you'll be directed to exit the area on Rengstorff Avenue. If you're west of Rengstorff, you'll exit via San Antonio Road. The area highlighted in red on the map will be closed to vehicle traffic. Please plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and follow posted signs and directions from traffic control personnel. Your patience will help keep everyone moving safely during the holiday festivities. Stay safe and have a happy Fourth of July!

E-bike and bicycle riders, your safety is our priority! Remember to obey all traffic signals, use hand signals when turning, and always ride in the same direction as traffic. Knowing your e-bike class and speed limits is key to riding responsibly: ▪️ Class 1: Pedal-assist only, up to 20 mph. ▪️ Class 2: Throttle or pedal-assist, up to 20 mph (throttles not allowed on Class 1 or 3). ▪️ Class 3: Pedal-assist only, up to 28 mph. Riders must be 16 years of age or older and wear a helmet. Keep in mind: Modifying your e-bike to exceed class speed limits is illegal. Class 3 e-bikes cannot carry passengers.
