Good morning folks! Happy Saturday. The forest in the wee hours of the morning can look beautiful and scary at the same time. I always remember thinking of ‘Boojum’ during these times.
“The Boojum is a legendary 8-foot-tall, shaggy gray cryptid from Western North Carolina’s Balsam Mountains in Haywood County, described as an Appalachian "Bigfoot". Known for loving precious gemstones and haunting high ridgelines at twilight, he is a central figure in local folklore often associated with the early 20th-century Eagle's Nest Hotel”

@H4ppyc4mp3r_ My BFF is diabetic and I realize that I really didn't have anything for her to eat except chicken nuggets. So she pulled the bread off of them and that's what we snacked on. No shame.

Last night my BFF came over to help me do a little doctoring to my chicken, Miss Tonka. She has bumble foot which is essentially a callus. But it forms a hard 'kernel' and becomes uncomfortable.
I soaked her feet for an hour and a half before we started to work on them, and it was still way too hard to take out. So I put some polysporin on it, wrapped it up and put her in the brooder with the babies in the basement.
When I went down there this morning, she didn't want to stay in there so she is out running around with little bandages on her feet. 😂
I had to get some photos of course, but I should have done a video because in perfect mom/grandma form she was rocking this chicken and humming to her. ❤️
She had no idea what she was getting into but she'll be back tonight so we can try again!
Get yourself a best friend who will hold your chicken for you!
