Water kiosks were constructed with an aim of serving the communities with clean and affordable water. This Project is driving real impact through: • Improved public health through safe water; • Time saved – especially for women and children.

The Water Sector Trust Fund in collaboration with the County Government of Mombasa and Mombasa Water Supply and Sanitation Company Limited have intensified efforts to improve access to clean and affordable water in low income areas through the construction of water kiosks.

Once completed we expect a substantial increase in our transmission capacity and pressure to the residents of the wider Jomvu and Changamwe Sub-Counties. #EveryDropCounts.

The team are replacing the entire stretch of the dilapidated section that has caused a significant drop in water supply to our customers and high NRW due to its persistent leakages.

Accelerated progress on the installation of the new pipeline at Bonje, in West Mainland alongside the MOWASSCO technical team and Coast Water Works Development agency pipeline team.

The Ag. Managing Director Ms. Habiba Ali joined the technical team at Bonje area to inspect the on-going replacements of the dilapidated underground twin pipelines that have adversely impacted the water transmission pressure to West mainland.

Once completed, we expect a boost in water volumes and transmission pressure for an overall improved water supply to our customers in West mainland. #EveryDropCounts

The leakage has contributed to substantive reduced water transmission pressure which has negatively impacted services to our customers in areas including Miritini, Mikindani, the wider Jomvu, Airport and Portreitz.
