@ViperFixated The japanese version of pokopia has bulbasaur's evo line speak in a gyaru-ish manner, so people online took it upon themselves to gijinkify them. This is just one of those designs many ppl came up with

@BrodTsumi Just hold your stroke down still for a sec after drawing it and it'll auto snap to your pen
English

@OdinYggd that's where the issue of how to fund it and how to take transactions comes in, and not relying on current payment processors, which is its own can of worms, but ultimately i believe there'll be a breaking point at some point where people are willing to take on this challenge
English

@MoxyDraws They'll attack the server farms too and saddle them with similar restrictions. Many places already won't let you host such content because of past incidents.
Ultimately the money people already rule the world and are letting us live in a fantasy of freedom.
English

@kurotesuta i mean that's the ideal, make it so that transactions with these payment processors and the sites content is posted to just have to abide by the laws of the country they're being displayed in and not whatever their shareholder's decide is right or wrong
English

@MoxyDraws Japan has servers that are NSFW friendly, provided that you adhere to the laws of the country.
English

@Glitch_Saint The worry is in the scenario they crack down even further. SubStar's new policy means you can't even use it and host the content off site if it violates terms, other sites could easily be pressured into the same boat
English

@MoxyDraws That+patreon is the best way to do it i think. And handle comms through paypal/venmo
English

@pervisbad yeah the problem is people trust these companies cause their ease of use and security in their purchases, but for many they've lost trust as the companies say what they can and cannot buy, which makes more and more people over time more willing to use alternative commerce options
English

@MoxyDraws I've actually suggested that to an artist I like, it's barely sustainable anymore
English

@KobaltSteel that's a long process though, making artists and creators aware of how to make websites and set up servers is one thing, and i mean people used to do that back in the 90s, but the hard part is organizing payments to go where they need to without the use of the processors
English

@MoxyDraws We all should do this, yeah... don't give these companies any power, let's take that power for ourselves
English

@Superasil yeah exactly, and that's the leverage these companies have, using them you know your money will go where they say it's going and you'll receive a product. Using other methods of trade would mean giving up some security for freedom to spend your money how you wanna
English

@MoxyDraws Yeah, it wouldn't be easy or doable for many, personally I wouldn't feel comfortable sending cash pretty much ever haha.
English

@CRitHit3 mostly for shareholder value. Shareholders want their investments in the companies to look good so they pressure the companies to censure their userbase to make the investment look "cleaner".
Imo, to fix this we need the processors of these things to run completely independent
English

@MoxyDraws Yes
In your own words what do you think?
Like why do they want suppress the artistic creativity of people? To censor the expressive, especially those that caters to Adults only.
They did with it alot of JP sites in the past.
English

@Superasil way back when people would send in money through the mail or pay a guy who knew a guy in order to get their comics and prints. Perhaps some more physical trade of currency would work, but then you'd have to have someone in every different country to receive it, it's tricky
English

@MoxyDraws Hosting the work isn't the most difficult part, it's the payment taking part of it all.
