Lovely to speak at the @echrgroup #ECHR22 virtual meeting this morning. As you can tell from the screen grab, I got quite excited about being able to share my research with such a great group!

Really important work from @bryonysheaves outlining some key reasons why people might still pay attention to voices despite them being threatening or cruel. Developed with experts by experience, and using data from a huge nationwide clinical group. In short: excellent stuff!
Bryony Sheaves@bryonysheaves

7 grps of reasons for listening and believing: to better understand the threat; being too worn down to resist; to learn something insightful; being alone with time to listen; voices trying to capture attention; voices sounding like real ppl; and voices sounding like known ppl. /5

Great thread summarising our recent article 🧵 Was a joy to have contributed to this and share reflections on developing and implementing Equality Diversity and Inclusion Groups in AVATAR2 Trial @AvatarLdn - a space to consider issues of power in the work we do.

‘What researching the benefits system has taught us about being trauma informed when people encounter traumatising systems’ Devouring @eolasinntinn and colleagues super important article in ‘clinical psychology forum’. A few especially important quotes/points below #disability
