@touristeagle1 @joseph_kalimbwe he has to stop this Nonsense, rather he has to be an instrument that helps in building the country not some dictatorship mentality . The reason why Africa is where it is today is because of people like this 🗑️

@smabhena31 @Newzroom405 So it’s very wrong to say if the government decides to grant permanent residency to ZEP holders then people like you will object it,pathetic

@MoyosmartData @Newzroom405 Me and the millions of patriotic South Africans. The South Africans that fought against apartheid. The South Africans that exposed Chidima and got her running. The people that forced the government to revise immigration rules.
Who are you?
English

Deputy Home Affairs Minister Njabulo Nzuza says foreign nationals who hold Zimbabwean Exemption Permits who seek to stay in the country can apply for permanent residency because the ZEP was a temporary arrangement.

@smabhena31 @Newzroom405 The reason why South Africa is in chaos right now due to illegal protests and vandalism of foreigners properties etc is because of people like you.
There is no country without foreigners I live in USA and every day of my life I meet people from South Africa
English

@Newzroom405 We will take them to court if they convert that nonsense to permanent residency. It stipulates in the permit that it’s not a route to permanent residency. The DA and ANC will know us

@GeorgeCharamba2 It’s not sovereignty issue anymore it’s a ZANUPF issue now, seems Zimbabwean population has no say in regards to the constitution

@ZBCNewsonline But you are suppressing the views of Zimbabwean people, they do not have a say rather say it is rather determined by ZANUPF

THE ongoing debate around Constitutional Amendment Number 3 is a sovereign matter that must be determined by the Zimbabwean people, Deputy Chief Secretary for Presidential Communications, Mr George Charamba, has said.

I have just finished reading the Zimbabwe Human Rights Commission’s analysis of Constitutional Amendment Bill Number 3, and I must say it reads like opposition propaganda, not objective legal assessment. The analysis repeatedly cites foreign NGOs and international instruments as if Zimbabwe’s own Constitution were not enough, revealing a troubling deference to external agendas over our national sovereignty.
This Bill strengthens our democracy by reducing disruptive election cycles, consolidating voter registration under the Registrar-General for efficiency, and introducing a parliamentary presidential selection model that builds consensus over populism. Allowing the President to appoint expert senators improves governance, while merging the Gender Commission into the ZHRC avoids duplication without diminishing women’s rights.
Judicial appointments remain consultative, the Defence Forces’ mandate is merely clarified, and restoring traditional leaders’ political rights simply treats them as equal citizens - any code of conduct will be set by Parliament.
Public hearings across the country have shown overwhelming support from ordinary Zimbabweans who want stability and development over endless opposition complaints. This Bill is lawful, necessary, and fully aligned with the 2013 Constitution. Parliament should pass it without hesitation.

The Zimbabwe Human Rights Commission (ZHRC) today held a press conference at its Samora Machel offices. Chairperson Jesse Majome reported that the recent public hearings on Amendment Bill No. 3 were largely peaceful and well attended across the country.
ZHRC monitoring teams were deployed nationwide from 30 March to 4 April to observe the hearings conducted by the Parliament of Zimbabwe. Majome stated that most venues were filled to capacity, demonstrating strong public interest, with many participants expressing support for the Bill.
The Commission confirmed that its role was to ensure citizens exercised their constitutional rights, including freedom of expression and participation in governance. Observations focused on whether people could freely share their views without intimidation. The ZHRC commended organisers for maintaining order and enabling public participation.
The Commission reaffirmed its commitment to protecting human rights and monitoring national processes in line with the Constitution.
