Year have been fascinated to learn about Ernest and Mary Stevens and how they fit in with our local history. Ernest gifted the park to the people of Stourbridge in 1931 so that it’s beauty could be enjoyed by all forever @school_mount @MpYear2

Year 2 made their Anti-Bullying Pledge and learned our class poem which we performed in assembly. We promised to be respectful, kind and caring to our class mates. We follow our school rules Kind words, Kind actions @school_mount @MpYear2

Year 2 had a wonderful time exploring Haden Hill House and park. We found out about Victorian times and life before electricity. @school_mount @MpYear2

Year 2 have been looking at different authors today. We have been focusing on the authors style, themes and illustrations and offering our thoughts and opinions. @school_mount

Year 2 created beautiful @andygoldsworthy art work during their visit to forest school today. They presented their work to their friends, enjoy our love of nature, trees, the dragon, the squirrel, the pigs house, stone flower and happiness @school_mount

Our Fabulous Beach Huts! All different and unique, just like us. We are designers @school_mount

We had great fun investigating structures today for our beach huts. Many groups worked as a team and were successful in balancing the book and completing the challenge 😊🥳😊@school_mount

Year 2 thought carefully about their colour schemes for our beach huts. We looked at primary, secondary and pastel shades and which colours worked well together. SO excited to make them on Thursday 🥳@school_mount

Year 2 worked hard today writing their letters to Father Christmas. We packaged them up neatly in an envelope and posted them to Santa’s Grotto, let’s hope he replies soon! 🎅

Year 2 were very excited this morning to find a parcel in our room for Year 4. Clementine had popped in during the night and left it for us @school_mount

Year 2 have been focussing on the slogan "Be a buddy, not a bully!" today. We created posters which we are going to put up around the school! @school_mount #beabuddynotabully #AntiBullyingWeek

Year 2 enjoyed wearing their odd socks on Monday to kick start our focus on Anti bullying. We try to follow our anti bullying pledge and school values every day. #AntiBullyingWeek @school_mount

Year 2 loved visiting Stourbridge library last week and exploring the vast range of books they have available. Did you know you can take up to 20 books home on your library card for up to 4 weeks? How fantastic is that!!! @school_mount

Year 2 had a great time today completing their geography field work at Haden Hill Park. We noted down the physical and human features that we saw and plotted a map of our journey.
