Today, I had the honour of speaking to the 47 countries that comprise the @UN #HumanRightsCouncil urging the immediate release of my father @imrankhanpti and all #Pakistan’s #politicalprisoners. Along with this, I want to be very clear. Like my father, I fully support maintaining GSP+ as the people of #Pakistan should never be punished for the actions of its leaders. But the Pakistani regime must also fully comply with the 27 treaties it committed to follow to obtain this benefit, including the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and Convention Against Torture. @UN @ptiofficial #HumanRights #ImranKhanUnlawfullyDetained

We have been informed that my father, Imran Khan, has lost most of the vision in his right eye, with reports indicating only 15% eyesight remains. This is the direct consequence of 922 days of solitary confinement, medical neglect (denied blood tests) and the deliberate denial of proper treatment in jail. The responsibility lies squarely with the regime in power, the Army Chief and the puppets enabling this cruelty. This physical deterioration is happening under their orders, their watch and their responsibility. They have manipulated and warped the justice system in order to keep my father in solitary confinement. My brother and I are still being denied visas to see our father as his health deteriorates. History will record this injustice. We urge human rights bodies, legal institutions and democratic nations to confront this persecution and ensure those responsible face consequences.

My full interview with Kasim and Sulaiman Khan is out now on YouTube. We spoke about their childhoods, what Imran was like as a father, as well as what they now want from the international community. And I ask, do they ever think they’ll see their father again? youtu.be/kHpbBkfN5Ak?si…

A personal plea to @elonmusk My two sons have not been allowed to see or speak to their father Imran Khan who has been held unlawfully (acc to the UN) for 22 months of solitary confinement. X is the only place left where we can still tell the world he is a political prisoner without basic human rights. Yet every time I post about him, the reach inside Pakistan (and often globally) is throttled to almost zero. You promised free speech, not “speech but no one hears it”. Please fix the visibility filtering on my account so we can get the message out! @MarioNawfal

“I am deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Lady Annabel Goldsmith. My family shared this heartbreaking news with me today while I am in prison. Annabel was a wonderful grandmother to my sons and an exceptionally kind and compassionate person. During my visits to London, I would stay with her along with my sons. She became like a mother to me, especially after losing my own mother in 1985. Her passing is a profound loss. My heartfelt thoughts are with all her children and grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all of us. If I were not in prison, I would have attended her funeral along with my sons, Sulaiman and Kasim” Illegaly incarcerated Imran Khan's message from Adiala Jail (October 21, 2025)

My father, Imran Khan, is in prison because he stood up for democracy. He is held in solitary confinement, denied access to his doctors, and restricted from meeting his lawyers and family. At the same time, members of his family and thousands of his supporters have been abducted or dragged before military courts. This is not justice - it is political revenge. Pakistan’s democracy is at stake, and I call on all who believe in human rights and democracy to stand with us so that the people’s voice is heard and the rule of law is restored.

I am taking this opportunity to raise funds distributed by members of my family, in a rural village in Moz. The aim is to give a food pack to each of the 80 Muslim families in Possulane (village). A full pack costs £20, but donate as much or as little as you can ✨ JazakAllah

In the last few days, my sons’ cousins, Shahrez & Shershah (Aleema Khan’s sons), have been abducted from their homes in front of their young children & held in prison. Their other cousin Hassan Niazi, has been held in a military prison for over a year. The government has also threatened my sons Sulaiman and @Kasim_Khan_1999 with arrest if they travel to Pakistan to visit their father. No state should be allowed to target families to settle political scores.

𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐈𝐦𝐫𝐚𝐧 𝐊𝐡𝐚𝐧’𝐬 𝐌𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐀𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐚 𝐉𝐚𝐢𝐥: - 𝟐𝟒 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 🧵1/2 “It is not Martial Law but ‘Asim Law’ that is imposed in Pakistan. The country is being run under Asim Munir's law, and the ISI is giving it protection. Whatever strengthens Asim Munir's power is made the law of the land. He is prepared to sacrifice every national interest to maintain his hold on power. This Army Chief is disgracing the military just as Yahya Khan once did. At this time, the Senate, the National Assembly, the Prime Minister, and the President, are all unconstitutional. A sham constitutional court was created, which reduced our seats in parliament. In an unprecedented move, one party’s seats were simply handed over to others. The constitutional courts, which are meant to deliver justice, are now filled with Asim Munir’s personal minions. Sikandar Sultan Raja perpetrated an historic electoral fraud, and instead of being held accountable, he was granted an extension to safeguard that rigging. A judge of the Islamabad High Court is not hearing my appeals for seven months because he too receives instructions from Asim Munir. At this time, Asim Munir’s law prevails in our country, as if he owns Pakistan. The judiciary, state institutions, and democracy have been systematically dismantled. Military courts have been declared legal, an act that is essentially a vote of no confidence by the judiciary against itself. My wife, Bushra Bibi, is being used as a weapon to break me, but let me make this absolutely clear: I would rather die than accept Asim Munir’s monarchy. This is nothing more than a group that has forcibly seized control of the country. A ‘Dacoits-and-Duffers Alliance’ has taken full control of Pakistan. The 26th Amendment has completely abolished the independence of the judiciary. Judicial orders hold no weight anymore; even an ordinary policeman can openly defy a judge’s directives. Today, during court proceedings, the judge repeatedly ordered that my family, waiting outside the prison gates, be brought inside and even halted proceedings several times, yet my family was not allowed in. This shows that the judge’s order holds no value for the police. Our justice system has been decimated. Nations collapse when incompetent people are put in charge. Asim Munir has assumed control of the country, while Mohsin Naqvi is busy destroying cricket. What qualifications do they have? Due to Mohsin Naqvi, our test cricket team has dropped to ninth place. When such unqualified individuals are placed in charge, this is the fate that befalls every sector, not just sports. A country is doomed when the incompetent are imposed upon institutions through force. The torture inflicted upon me has intensified. I am kept in solitary confinement in my cell for 22 hours a day. I am denied books, newspapers, and television to keep me cut off from current affairs. This is not just a violation of local law but a grave breach of international human rights standards. Today, following a court order, I was given only a single book after three hours, while my family has already sent over two dozen books in the past month and a half. Ever since the new jail superintendent Ghafoor Anjum has taken over, torture against me has drastically intensified under his supervision. We want peace in Pakistan. Whoever stands for peace and participates in peace marches must be supported wholeheartedly. It has now been seven months since I have been allowed to speak to my children. It is their right to approach the courts, and I have personally told my sons to take the matter to international courts on the basis of fundamental human rights. They are not asking anyone in the United States for help; they are only raising their voices for their rights. Even when President Trump first came into office, I said that decisions about Pakistan must be made in Pakistan.” #FascismUnderAsimLaw

Yesterday, after a long and painful struggle to gather just a small amount of rice, a few potatoes, and some eggplant, my family managed to cook a pot of maqlooba. But as they placed it over the firewood, the metal stand beneath it tilted. The entire pot toppled over, spilling what little food they had onto the sandThere was shouting, anger, heartbreak. But it didn’t stop there. Out of desperation, they gathered the precious food from the dirt and washed it over and over again, just so they could eat it. To witness the level of hunger and humiliation my family has been reduced to, after once living comfortably, with a stable income and a life above average before the war, is something I can barely endure. I’m not exaggerating when I say this pain is more than I can carry. I cry constantly. I live with rage.

I was about to write a heart-wrenching story that happened to my family today, but I erased it. What's the point? Words won't change anything. Good night, cruel world.
