Something is not sitting well with me when I hear Floyd Shivambu starts being populist and disowning his own principles on Africans. The flag and colours of Afrika Mayibuye Movement are distancing themselves from his new populist stance We have always known Floyd as someone who opposed senseless jingoism. Now, all of a sudden, for votes, he is endorsing lawless thugs who show hostility towards Africans living in South Africa. We have seen how Jacinga Ngobese Zuma, Phakel'umthakathi, Ngizwe Mchunu & their minions are openly targeting African migrants, regardless of whether they are legally in the country or not. The “undocumented foreigners” rant is just a smokescreen to make people believe these individuals care about the law. They do not. These are hotheads driving naked jingoism and mob politics. I hope someone close to him reminds him what he has always stood for in the past 20 years.
