๐ฌ SISTER IN ME โ Episode 1
**Scene 1: An Old House โ Night
The scene opens inside an old, modest house. A woman and her children are finishing up their night prayers. After saying "Amen," she gestures for her children to go to bed.
(Son): Mummy, please tell us a story before we sleep.
(Mother): No, I wonโt. It is 9 o'clock already and you guys need to rest. Or don't you want to go to school tomorrow?
(Daughter): Mummy, we will go to school, but could you please tell us a story? Please, Mum?
(Son): Please, Mummy!
(Mother):โsighs and smilesโ* Okay. Story, story...
(Children): Story!
(Mother): Once upon a time, there was a village called Imuta...
(The motherโs eyes drift as she gets lost in her own memories. The scene fades into a flashback.)*
Scene 2: Imuta Village โ Day**
The flashback begins in Imuta village. A young girl named Amaka is walking down a path, balancing a bucket of water on her head and carrying a heavy basket of washed clothes in her hand. She approaches a house and calls out.
**Amaka:** Mama! Mama! Sister Esther, please come out!
(Esther):โrushing out of the houseโ Oh, thank you, my daughter!
(Esther carefully helps Amaka lower the bucket of water from her head.)
(Esther):* You have done so well, my daughter. May God reward you richly for me.
(Amaka): Thank you, Mama. The clothes are already dry, so you can take them inside.
(Esther): Thank you so much, my child.
(Amaka): Alright, Mama. I will come back tomorrow. Please tell Oluma that I came by, okay?
(Esther): I will do just that, my daughter. Please greet my brother for me when you get home.
(Amaka): I will, Mama.
(Amaka waves and walks away. Esther stands at the door, watching her leave with a warm smile. Just then, her daughter, Oluma, walks up to the house carrying market bags.)
(Esther): Welcome back, my daughter. How was the market today?
(Oluma): Mama, the market was good. Mama Elena told me to extend her greetings to you.
(Oluma stops and notices the fresh water and clean laundry.)
(Oluma): But Mama, it looks like you went to the stream today? How did you manage to fetch all this water and wash these clothes?
(Esther): No, oh! It was your cousin, Amaka. She helped me fetch water from the stream and washed all these clothes at the same time. That girl is incredibly kind and hard-working, just like you.
(Oluma):โsmilingโ* Ah, thank you, Mama. I really admire her too. She helps us a lot.
(Esther): It's true. Sometimes I even start to wonder if she was sent by the gods just to be a helper to us.
(They both share a warm laugh as the scene slowly fades to black.)*
