I can somewhat see this argument for the European Theater, but not at all for the Pacific. The Tojos were throwing captured American and Aussie sailors into active propellers as execution or even worse dissected them while still conscious.

This is more equivalent to tearing down a flag with “NAFTA” or “USMCA” in bold lettering and replacing it with the Stars and Stripes.

I would like Fishback to win, but having talked with folks who know him personally, don't expect anything "AF" in the rare case he wins.
He's just a rich kid who still lives off of his father's wealth, and will likely only pass legislation that'll benefit folks like his dad.

The Right, in its current state, is too self-consumed by in-group preference (of all bases) to the point where any talking point only sews more division.
