I was in a queue at a POS stand in Lagos when a little boy, maybe 10 years old, walked up.
He handed the agent ₦500 and said, “Aunty, help me send it to my mummy.”
The agent asked, “Where is your mummy dey?”
He replied, “Hospital.”
Everyone went quiet.
She asked again, “Why did you not go with her?”
The boy looked down and said,
“The doctor said they won’t touch her until we bring money.”
Nobody spoke for a few seconds.
Then the woman behind me stepped forward and said,
“How much do they need?”
Before you knew it, strangers started contributing.
That day, I realised something:
In Nigeria, people are struggling, but they still show up for one another.

If you attack Obi or any OBIdient, you shall receive what you dish out in hundred of folds. We were tolerating you guys because of the coalition.

A Unified Message to All As you are all now aware, His Excellency Peter Obi is going to be our new presidential candidate and the face of this movement. We call on everyone to vigorously market and promote our candidate with honour and facts. We will not attack or abuse any other candidate, and we expect the same courtesy in return. If you abuse Peter Obi or attempt to tarnish his character, be ready we will respond accordingly. We prefer peace, but if it is a fight you bring, we are more than ready to meet it. To my dear Northern brothers and sisters: Do not come to my page with religious or tribal attacks. They will not work here i won't tolerate it. We who support this movement believe Nigeria belongs to everyone Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba, Christian, Muslim, and all others. Our strength lies in our unity, not in division. The unity of our nation is what we dream of and will continue to fight for. My reasons for supporting Peter Obi are clear: his outstanding track record as Governor of Anambra State and the positive plans he has for my region the Northern Nigeria. No one can stop or intimidate us. As true Kwankwasiyya, we do not fear challenges we welcome them as opportunities to prove our determination and strength.Peter Obi and Kwankwaso represent our new project for a New Nigeria. We will take this message to the markets, homes, chambers, streets, and every corner of this country. We will campaign with passion and sell this vision to our people. To all supporters of this movement: This is our moment to show Nigerians that love, respect, and unity can be stronger than religion or tribe. Let us promote this movement across every platform and every community. Let us grow together as one.
One Nigeria Must Be OK.

Let’s be honest about the ADC aspirants and their real political weight:
• Peter Obi — possesses a rare, organic, nationwide movement cutting across the South, North Central, and parts of the core North. The Obidient movement is driven by conviction, not political patronage.
• Atiku Abubakar — long-established political figure, but lacks the passionate grassroots followership that can win an election as an opposition candidate.
• Rabiu Kwankwaso — commands a formidable organic base in the North-West, especially in Kano, through the Kwankwasiyya movement.
• Rotimi Amaechi — no clearly tested nationwide grassroots political base.
What some coalition elites want is simple: harvest the energy of the Obidient and Kwankwasiyya movements while preserving the same old elite calculations.
But serious opposition politics does not sideline its strongest popular force. The APC understood this when they handed their ticket to Muhammadu Buhari because of his mass grassroots appeal.
If the ADC truly wants a consensus candidate, the sensible path is clear: give the ticket to Peter Obi and pair him with Rabiu Kwankwaso. That would unite two of the strongest organic political movements in Nigeria today.
If, however, they insist on a primary, then let it be a transparent direct primary — not backroom arrangements designed to impose elite preferences over the will of the people.
And for those who think loyalty to Obi is transferable — it is not.
Many of us are not fighting for a mere change of government; Nigeria already tried that experiment and got the disaster called APC. What we seek is a complete paradigm shift — a New Nigeria built on competence, accountability, prudence, and vision.
That is why an Obi vice-presidential role is a non-starter. Nigerians have already seen what happens when capable deputies are politically sidelined.
For millions, Peter Obi is not just a candidate; he is the embodiment of the movement itself.
Wherever he goes, we follow.

"Obi stay, Obi go. Obi is this, Obi is that.
What about the man who sees every southerner as material for deputy?
When it is the turn of the south, it is for him. When it is the turn of the north, it is for him. History repeats itself
Dignity may be more important than material progress." — Sam Amadi
