For those wondering why Eminem is still sad about the death of his friend and what happened to his friend Doody, read; Doody real name was DeShaun Holton and his rap name was “Proof.” Doody was just a nickname him and Eminem used for each other… he was Eminem’s closest friend and part of D12. Sadly he was shot and killed on April 11, 2006 in Detroit but here’s what happened… He was at a club called CCC (Triple C) in Detroit. An argument broke out during a game and the situation escalated into a fight.. Doody pulled out his gun and shot a man named Keith Bender Jr. Then, Mario Etheridge who was a security guard and related to bender, shot Doody in the head. Doody died in the scene. The man who shot Doody was arrested but court ruled it as self defense so he wasn’t convicted of murder.
