@JoshFeinsilber Also we were already talking during dismissal about potential interesting power ups for the gamemode that could be purchased on the way up. My favorite was a parachute that deploys and slows your descent enough so that you can make strategic decisions about which way to fall.

@JoshFeinsilber Absolutely hillarious game mode! The thrill of reaching new heights only to face the heartbreak of a plummet to the bottom, where students have to get themselves together and begin the ascent again. Sooo much fun was had this afternoon!

@WilliamsCSSTEAM Here’s an example room: sites.google.com/pennmanor.net/… You would need a computer to view it (vs mobile). I embed the scratch project into a Google site otherwise my clever 6th graders go into the scratch code to try to circumvent the puzzle. This one reviews ordering integers.

Took some time to really go over all the things I took away from ISTE & KTI this summer to enhance my lessons this year and wowsers! I’m excited to try new things but I have lots of work to do 📝📱💻 Luckily I’m determined and know I have a whole group of people cheering me on 🫶🏼

@MrCarrOnTheWeb I love this book as well as The Witches Boy by the same author. It’s funny but I love the actual writing even more than the story itself. It’s hard to explain but the writing has this smooth, poetic, rhythm to it that I absolutely fell in love with. Definitely high fantasy.

No subject faces as much backlash as mathematics when it comes to the ideas of heterogenous grouping and de-tracking. One possible explanation is the idea that no subject is as connected with future income. (More explanation to this than will fit in a tweet.) 2/
