In what I can only assume is tariff related nonsense, I had to pay an additional $200 CAD to get my single @teamcovenant case of High Seas across the border. (It's usually like $30). God *damn*. Between that and LSS' inflexibility on shipping I may let this sub go for awhile.

I own like 95% of everything set/promo/mat wise released in the 1st 5 years of the game, that'll have to do. I just hope it pays for the kids college someday.. or at least the good body armour when he's inevitably drafted into the water wars. I hope you're all doing great. 7/7

In other news I hope you're all well. I've mostly stepped away from FaB because of a few reasons, some which might make sense, and some that may not. Because I'm a chatty jackass sometimes, here, a thread! 1/x

4) the money. I just can't afford to chase stuff anymore. It's all too goddamn expensive, plus, as stated, there's so much of it. Hell, I look around and what I have and it's hard not to see $$$ instead of collectibles I enjoy. So yeah, time to walk away. 6/x

3) and that doesn't even get into the promo side of it. Release promos. Event promos. Prize wall promos retailer promos. Creator promos. Plus the same categories of mats. Oh god, the mats. There's just too fuckin many. 5/x

2 cont) this set is your personal hell. It feels very very much like what MTG has become with so many variants and chases and only certain places to get them that it's overwhelming, mentally and financially. It's the first release I won't be trying to keep a set of. 4/x

2) This game was already getting hard to collect, and High Seas pushed that element into the stratosphere. Iay be in the minority here, but I think the treasure pack concept and cards is bullshit. If you're a collector who's interested in completionism.... 3/x

1) I just don't have time to play or keep up with the game anymore. Between work and the kid my free time is stretched paper thin and I usually end up spending that with my partner or trying to get an hour of video gaming in. My windows aren't conducive to FaB Op. 2/x

@MrChocholateTCG @KuganeGaming They mentioned it in the Dev Podcast, it is a new technology aimed to replace current Rainbow Foil one, which shouldnt curl like RF do. So far they are testing it with prize cards, but IMO their intention is to replace RF technology alltogether

@KuganeGaming Collecting this game is already frustrating enough I was really hoping they wouldn't go down the WOTC route of "here's another variant and here's another variant and here's a variant of a variant". Obviously until we get more info on what the hell this means, its maybe nothing.
