The price of fuel might've been the final nail in the coffin for Spirit, but you, as the (seriously unqualified) Transportation Secretary, along with help from Elizabeth Warren and others in the Biden administration put them into a death spiral when you purposely killed a merger that would've saved them and thousands of jobs. You're in no position to criticize anyone Mr. (hey look at me, I pedal a bike to work) optics whore!

You can't lower gas prices by blurting out the names of a few Democrats. The administration needs to stop its crazed policies that cause so much economic pain. This is happening on Trump's watch because he doubled jet fuel prices by taking our country to war, which drove Spirit out of business. Obviously.

They want to count every single person (legal or not) to ensure financial allocations from the federal government remain at a maximum. If a state only receives federal dollars for legal citizens, then they would be forced to address their immigration problems or face possible bankruptcy. Not to mention keeping them in power with illegitimate congressional seats. As a child growing up in San Francisco in the 1950’s & 60’s, my parents at the time were Democrats, and insisted that the Democratic Party was the righteous and moral Party, and Republicans were evil and greedy. In today’s political climate, my parents would be run out of the Democratic Party on a rail for being too far right.

Spiking fuel prices from Trump’s war was the nail in the coffin for twice-bankrupted Spirit airline. FWIW, JetBlue merger failed because a judge, appointed by Ronald Reagan, said the deal was illegal. Republicans are desperate to shift blame from higher costs hitting families.

We now know the Iran war price tag is more like $50 billion - hundreds of dollars per household - and counting. It's enough to cover all the health insurance premium credits that the Republicans got rid of for this year, and next. It could save rural hospitals, pay teachers, fix roads.
