We writers do our best to create books that will thrill children, filling their minds with magic & wonder. But I think the real magic happens in those places where adults read aloud to kids, bringing the books to life, and changing their lives forever in the process. #literacy

@smithsmm I was once observed by ofsted and my TA sat on a box, panicking about finding a seat. The box imploded, the TA fell in the box and was stuck. The TA continued to teach stuck in the box for a solid 10 minutes. 🐝

I was once observed by an Ofsted inspector back in the days when they gave feedback. They said it was the best RE lesson they’d seen and totally thought outside the box. I didn’t dare correct them and tell them that I’d been teaching Art.
