@DanSchneierNFL Bobby a DT is supposed to be a run stuffer and any pressure is a bonus and what did the run D look like the last few years?
English

I’ve been through this before too with Leonard Williams and changed my opinion drastically. Just pay them all honestly. Use void years to cheat the system. It’s a very simple process that the Eagles, Cowboys etc have used to their advantage
The Giants MUST extend Dexter Lawrence
Bobby Skinner@BobbySkinner_
Dexter Lawrence was 7th of 121 DT's in pass rush win rate in 2025 (his terrible down year).
English

@DanSchneierNFL That’s why the run D was so great right? DT 1st and foremost is to stuff the run so he was bottom 1/2 of the league
English

All evidence is clear the Giants can’t lose Dex. 10 months ago he had top 5 player in the NFL level tape for two straight years (go watch you’ll see). All metrics supported it. Even in a “down year” he was doubled more than most DTs, won his reps and the defense was light years better when he was on the field.

@VinnyBonsignore lol when the receiver is jogging and can speed up or slow down slightly to get in sync with the throw anyone can be accurate. Now speed it up and put a defender in the way!
English

@TrumpsHurricane We’ve been paying them for decades, who do you think contributes the least but receives the most?

@Maga4liberty Counter what? A bunch of mentally unstable idiots who are confused about the simplest things.

@TomRock_Newsday lol people always forget it’s a two way street. Maybe he’s waiting for more $ or waiting till training camp

The Giants re-signed two long-shot would-be linemen who never even saw the field for them in 2025 while the guy who played every snap at right guard the last two years remains a free agent. 🤔

@DDuggan21 true but they currently are not projected a comp pick
English

Ravens are huge on playing comp pick game. Post-draft signings don’t factor into the formula. Starting to think that might be why the Giants are slow-playing RG/DT. Could even do visits now to lay the groundwork for a deal
Aaron Wilson@AaronWilson_NFL
Veteran defensive tackle D.J. Reader took physical today with #Ravens and is expected to sign with a team post-draft. Could be #Ravens, but other #NFL teams are in on Reader, too
English

@TroyRenck Actually it’s not , the way they do it is harder to buy off a ref that’s a lawyer or high earner in their regular job. They have reputations to uphold and have plenty of $ without the NFL gig. Now you’re way you have Joe Blow with nothing to lose ref that can bought easily
English

Agree. It borders on insanity in a multi-billion dollar industry embedded in gambling.

@AdamSchefter Talk about convincing the public that this makes sense. And why couldn't we have brought Jamie back again?

A record deal: Ravens free-agent punter Jordan Stout reached agreement today with the Giants on a three-year, $12.3 million deal that makes him the NFL’s highest-paid punter and reunites him with his former head coach John Harbaugh, per ESPN sources. The deal cannot be signed until Wednesday.
English

That’s absurd. Paying Jordan Stout $12.3 million over three years to be the highest paid punter in NFL history is completely over the top. Punting is important, sure but this is not a position that moves the needle like a quarterback or edge rusher.
Reuniting with John Harbaugh might be sentimental, but the Giants are blowing cap space on a role that could be filled effectively for a fraction of that price. This deal screams mismanagement.
