Super Smash Bros.' was released on the Nintendo 64 27 years ago today in the US.

I think Miyamoto needs to retire cuz he’s contributing like nothing of value to Nintendo atp He’s not a good supervisor for the movies, because he doesn’t even know what makes a good story, and when he was working on games he made them actively worse in his later years.

I would've loved to have this when I was a kid. 😭

Then lemme simplify it. Movies are stories. Stories need characters and themes. They're not optional. If your movie hinges entirely on IP recognition, sure, it'll have its fans. But that doesn't mean it's a good movie that everyone will like.

Let's not forget Miyamoto stripped away storytelling in several games he's worked on and just forced in gameplay gimmicks that only ruined the whole thing. Good examples: Paper Mario Sticker Star and Star Fox Zero. Zero in particular killed the Star Fox franchise for 10 years!

It's because Miyamoto is TERRIBLE at storytelling. He's been this way for DECADES.. The movie is good imo, fun to watch with your brain turned off. But after seeing it 3 times now the story falls apart fast. Too much focus on action rather than on plot and character development..

As a VA and a StarFox fan from the beginning, it is a very sad day for the StarFox community. I just found out that voice actor and original voice for Wolf O'Donnell, Jock Blaney has passed away. Jock was not only a fantastic personality in voice over but was also very gracious to reprise his role in StarFox Event Horizon to show his love for the Star Fox fans one last time in the role that he vocally created back in 1997. Share some of your favorite roles of his and share your fond memories of Star Fox 64 and how he inspired you through this character in celebration of his life.
