I'm hearing from a tutee that AQA decided to put a question in the GCSE Physics paper regarding Current, Potential Difference and Resistance when they specifically said it WOULD NOT be tested. @AQA #gcses2022 #exams2022

@WhistleblowingT It could also be different depending when they were employed and the demand that person had when they got their contract. They may have negotiated higher pay because they were on more elsewhere or because the school were "desperate" to recruit. 2/2

@WhistleblowingT This depends on how long they have been teaching for, their performance related pay targets, and being on UPS, normally to go through threshold they have to demonstrate a whole school responsibility or impact. 1/2

@WhistleblowingT If they feel that strongly that they wanted to speak to the MP, have the staff member write to the MP directly, or go to Houses of Parliament and lobby them directly.

@nourishworkplce @Dazzalee127320 2/2 The question is, How can schools actually solve the problems they face with workload, work/life balance, working conditions, without reducing outcomes or negatively affecting students, that doesn't involve large scale reform?

@nourishworkplce @Dazzalee127320 This is spot on. Teachers, as are many people in many professions, are wanting more pay, not because the pay isn't sufficient in its own right, but because the pay doesn't compensate them for the dreadful working conditions. Fix the conditions and you'll fix the problem. 1/2

Unfit for purpose Sector has zero confidence in inspections. Methods are unreliable, inconsistent & incredibly damaging. Reform @Ofstednews and Scrap one word grades BBC News - Ruth Perry: #Ofsted check 'likely contributed' to headteacher's death bbc.co.uk/news/education…

Finally, having seen hawkeye and other review systems work in real time, whilst they are accurate I have seen them be completely wrong, but as the "robot" its always considered correct, and as a result has caused errors in games by misalignment, hardware fault or software error.

They have the same system in Cricket and Rugby and its initiated by the captain. In Tennis, It kept the excitement on those line balls, because of the suspense it created, but knowing it was backed up, if needed by the player, by hawkeye.

@cleoabram.Great video on video refs. As a tennis umpire, what's interesting is that tourni's like the Aussie Open are considering line umpires coming back as the viewing figures have decreased with many citing the lack of excitement over close shots and the player review system.

@Dazzalee127320 Absolutely. This is where issues in the profession occur when good, hardworking and dedicated staff get beaten down by the school until they decide to leave altogether. Schools ideally should be run by a mixture of education professionals and professional managers.

@Dazzalee127320 They don't deserve the dedication of those staff. But the students in that bad school still deserve good teachers, it's not their fault leadership and management fail.

@_MGosling @matilda__martin @NASUWT @NEUnion @NAHTnews @ASCL_UK I hope it's true. Language used in NASUWT statement said Gov hope all schools "should" be able to pay offer. Rather than "Will" be able too. Unions though have moved the govt from 3.5 to 6.5% so that's a reason to accept in itself. If it's not fully funded, what's the point?

@RealGeoffBarton Can you confirm if its fully funded? BBC reporting Sunak said it is, but it appears only 3% is and the rest coming from existing budgets.
