A very busy but enjoyable month playing for Footloose, Legally Blonde, and Seussical. Also a great variety for me playing flute, oboe, clarinet, bass clarinet, tenor sax, and baritone sax. 🎷

The final event of MAD Fest 2025 took place yesterday at Westwood Parish Church. What a lovely morning of music making with fantastic performances from our junior and senior classical and contemporary musicians. Congratulations to our class winners Layla, Sarah, Reece and Allan.

It was great to hear premieres from our Young Composers and showcase the talents of our Music Technology pupils at Mad Fest 2025 yesterday. Congratulations to class winners Heather and Callum. You can hear all prize winners at our Summer concert this Wednesday, 18th June at 7pm.

Our concert band are working hard and sounding great at the start of their 2 day band camp. Many thanks to Universal Connections for the use of your amazing space. Lots of fun planned for the rest of today and tomorrow. Can’t wait!! 🎶🥁🎷⁦@MusicSlc⁩

Last night our talented NPA class wowed us with fantastic monologues, emotional musical theatre songs and a show stopping final dance number. Our first MAD fest prizes were awarded to Allan Steel (senior monologues) and Mirrin Carmichael (senior musical theatre). Well done 🎭🎶

We are immensely proud of these Duncanrig pupils who performed brilliantly at tonight’s Anyone Can Sing concert at the Village Theatre. Wonderful ambassadors for our school. Well done guys! 👏🎶🎻🎤

Friday saw the return of the in person Duncanrig Quiz event for staff, hosted by our fantastic Staff Social and Wellbeing Committee. With rounds on films, music and a tense game of Stop the Bus, it was a competitive way to end the week! 🧠🎬🎶 #StaffWellbeing #Community

One of the highlights of our year. Week 1 of our partner primary music making activities. Delighted to welcome these fine young musicians to Duncanrig. They are already sounding great. Looking forward to hearing them showcase their work at our Summer concert on June 18th.
