@MrJLabuschagne @DereleenJ @helenzille She needs to accept that she have to learn, and not continue to give into the temptation of performative politics. I sincerely hope she learns that lesson fast .. she has heart, it goes a long way.

@VusiSambo The integrity commission will be the end of them. They may even be forced to use 4-star hotels on their next Dubai trip. I am not sure we should be this cruel.

Some lunatic grouping called Forum for South Africa says His Excellency, President Cyril Ramaphosa must no longer appoint convicted criminals to serve in his bloated GNU cabinet. This rubbish demand is inconsistent with Section 91(2) of our Constitution, which explicitly states that President Cyril Ramaphosa can appoint whomever he chooses as a Cabinet Minister, & he doesn’t have to explain himself to anyone for it (except to the ANC Deployment Committee)🙄
eNCA@eNCA

The Forum for South Africa (FOSA) has called on President Cyril Ramaphosa to fire Sports, Arts and Culture Minister Gayton McKenzie. The call comes after convicted fraudster Jermaine Prim, alleged the the Patriotic Alliance leader, and some of his party members are proxies for drug cartel. enca.com/news-top-stori…

Honourable MP, maybe as a general rule, but the Cape Flats carry a completely different history and context with gangs. Apartheid forced removals shattered communities, concentrated poverty, and created deep-rooted gang structures tied to drugs that persist for generations. In this case, no amount of service delivery can change the space without proper policing and enforcement from SAPS. Cape Flats precincts like Mfuleni and Nyanga consistently top the national murder stats, mostly gang-related. All spheres of government need to work together. That’s why we need the army now and not to give them better fibre.

I have hope that she's not just another keyboard warrior or 'Facebook politician'. I'm a firm believer that South Africa needs strong, effective leaders across all parties, not blind loyalty to colours or brands. As voters, we must hold every politician accountable, whether they have your X or not. We can't afford cheap shots when communities are literally bleeding and dying.

@VusiSambo We are not the same as them. They feel no impact in their sponsored cars, houses, security paid for by those they don’t understand.

Not good enough. People are dying in the Cape Flats while we hear about the systemic corruption at SAPS. Kids have to cross rivers and survive pit toilets whilst the former failed minister of basic education lives it up in parliament as our country's defence leader. People are starving while Mbalula takes R600k vacations to Dubai whilst selling out his country. Your fancy words are just that, words. Your complacent attitude of ‘maybe they will get better, just wait’ makes you a complicit partner in the daily struggle of millions of South Africans who have been promised the moon and the stars for 20 years, while all they got was depression, poverty and continued disappointment as the elite live it up laughing at them. Not good enough.

@MrJLabuschagne @Sakeliga The USA as the biggest campion of democracy has corruption. The path of addressing the past, is not easy, but it will be on the terms of a black lead government. Our democracy is maturing so will it's leaders and voters.

🔴 LATEST: SANRAL's new draft policy would require private roadside businesses to meet race-based ownership and hiring targets. This includes petrol stations, restaurants and roadside shops. Here's what it’s demanding 🧵

No, it requires: 1. Corrupt hands out of state coffers. 2. Competence in public positions. 3. Functional service delivery so our cities do not fall apart. 4. Empowering policies that enable entrepreneurs to build. 5. Scrapping of any policy that determines who can work where based on anything other than merit. 6. Our education system restored after years of incompetence and corruption so future generations learn about AI and robotics, not indoctrinated with struggle songs and alcoholic teachers. 7. Sound-minded citizens to stop voting out of loyalty to ‘struggle icons’ who build nothing but lists of broken promises. 8. The NPA to prosecute politically connected criminals without fear or favour and return the stolen money the ANC has siphoned out of this country via couches and private planes.

@MrJLabuschagne @Sakeliga That requires land and economic transformation or A change in how monetary institutions and policies engage with South Africa, understanding its current land and economic reality. The country needs to bring more people into the formal market.

@VusiSambo Forget about formalising charges. We hand them over to the ANC NEC. I hear they never give second, third, fourth or fifth chances.. Ask Senzo Mchuno.

Insourcing makes a ton of financial sense in this regard. Kudos to this💪🏽 My only concern is that this might destabilise the strong & united ActionSA-ANC-led coalition in Tshwane. Granted, the Tshwane Deputy Mayor who is the ANC Tshwane Chair— & his Tshwane ANC treasurer, were reportedly eating nicely from water trucking even though they don’t even own a single water truck between the two of them. R31.7 million is the figure reported by the nosy Sunday Times the other week (for the 2025 FY).
Michael Beaumont@ME_Beaumont

The tendepreneurs are having their taps turned off! In Tshwane, 15 water tankers have been added to the city’s fleet as it moves away from the outsourcing model which has seen the connected get rich.

Calling out the obvious isn't loud melodrama or a weak argument, it's pattern recognition after decades of the same leadership failing South Africans. Ramaphosa's defiant "we won't be bullied" posturing (while quietly backtracking on the US pressure claims) isn't strengthening our position, it's isolating us further and hurting the poorest who rely on trade, investment, and stability. If you cannot see that, you are either blind or complicit.
